---## What is worth choosing
When you choose Mangia SoHo, you are opting for a dining experience that is both efficient and high-quality, a rare combination in a city that often demands a trade-off between the two. The first thing worth noting is the sheer variety of offerings. While the name suggests a focus on Italian cuisine, the menu extends far beyond that, encompassing healthy options, a fresh salad bar, and even an all-you-can-eat option. A real customer review highlights the "Summer Strawberry Salad" as a standout, praising its freshness and delicious balance of flavors, which confirms the quality and care put into their healthy offerings. This makes it a great choice for those seeking a quick yet nutritious meal.
The "fast service" is a major selling point. For the busy New Yorker on a tight lunch schedule, the ability to get a quick bite without sacrificing quality is invaluable. This is a place where you can feel confident that you’ll be in and out efficiently, a stark contrast to many full-service restaurants. This efficiency, combined with the comfortable and casual atmosphere, makes it a favorite for solo diners and office workers alike.
Another compelling reason to choose Mangia SoHo is its versatility. It's not just a restaurant; it’s also a "gourmet grocery store." This means you can get a great meal for now and also pick up some high-quality items for later. The limited menu information provided, such as the cookies, macarons, and cakes, hints at a wonderful selection of pastries and sweets that are perfect for a dessert or a special treat. This makes it a great stop for both a savory meal and a sweet craving.
Finally, the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere of Mangia SoHo is a huge draw. The fact that it is a women-owned business and an LGBTQ+ friendly space shows a commitment to community values that many New Yorkers find important. The amenities, such as Wi-Fi, gender-neutral restrooms, and dog-friendly outdoor seating, further enhance the overall experience. Whether you’re looking for a quick and healthy lunch, a delicious Italian meal, or a convenient catering solution for your next event, Mangia SoHo delivers on all fronts with a blend of speed, quality, and a truly welcoming spirit.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you want to eat something quick and at a good price, this is your place. The food is fresh and very delicious. The atmosphere is for eating and leaving. Reduced space, but comfortable. Recommended.
August 16 · Yatzelys PalenciaVery recommended. I come here pretty often, and one thing I always look forward to is the Summer Strawberry Salad. It’s seriously so good — super fresh, with the perfect mix of sweet and tangy. The strawberries, cucumbers, feta, and that dressing just work really well together. If you're into light, refreshing salads that still have a ton of flavor, definitely give this one a try. It never disappoints.
July 22 · Juan BarrezuetaI just found this place today and it’s a hidden gem! Staff is so lovely, food is DE-LI-SHHH!!!! And it feels like you just went to Italy for a second. Coffee is freshest and tastes the best! Definitely will be back and bring friends here. Amazing place, truly and grazie for experience!
July 16 · Anastasiia G.Ate a few bites of my food to find a live roach in the salad or chimichurri. Beware, this is not a sanitary place to dine. I received a full refund and a complimentary item, but I will not be dining here again.
September 19 · Juliëtte van Ravenswaay ClaasenI was reluctant on making this review but feel like it’s important because I’ve had not only one but two poor experiences with this restaurant.First time ordering: we called and ordered two salads, and they said it would arrive in 30 minutes, but it didn’t arrive for an hour and a half. When it did finally arrive, the ingredients were wrong, and the instructions were not followed (we asked for it chopped and it also wasn’t). Obviously frustrated that we didn’t receive the correct ingredients in our salad, we called them back to make a complaint and told them that We didn’t want these type of salads And we can stop at the restaurant to pick up the correct ones (and they were $60 for the two) because we were now running behind schedule after waiting so long for the salads and couldn’t wait for them to deliver again. The person on the phone was extremely rude and basically told us that’s not an option, And it would only be an option if they could send their delivery person back to pick up the original salads. We said no because we’re no longer home, But they sent the delivery person anyways in my building was calling my phone asking if they should let him back up. I thought this was really weird. Anyway, we let it go and ended up eating the salads when we got home and they were good salads. So we let it slide, because although it was a shitty experience, the salads were actually really good even if incorrect. This obviously tainted our experience with mangia, but we decided to order from them again about a month later and try to give it another go. This time we ordered it on Uber Eats so we can get it faster maybe. We did get it faster but the order was again incorrect for all four salads. We really didn’t have time this time, and we know the customer service was poor before so we decided to suck it up. I had lemons in our fridge, so I squeezed them up and poured them on the salads (They forgot the dressing). Also, something noteworthy was that the bowls were like half full this time compared to the first time which was also upsetting. Because where is the rest of my $28 salad? When I began mixing my solid bowl, I noticed something in it that didn’t look like an ingredient in the salad. I seriously thought it was a date pit. They forgot to add the olives that we requested in our salad, and thank God they did, because it wouldn’t have raised a red flag that there’s something black in my salad if they didn’t forget. So I picked this date pit with my fork only to realize it was a whole MOTH.I was absolutely stunned and grossed out and taken back, my friends who were eating their salad, started panicking, and everyone spit their bites out.Now I don’t know how this could be possible from a restaurant, as I’ve never had this happen… But I think it’s worth leaving a review about this, because the way that Customer Service also handled it was really poor. They basically told us to call Uber eats and ask for a refund and that they would tell the manager.Anyway, if anyone is really sensitive to things like this, I would not recommend ordering from here because there’s no explanation on how I think this could happen.
