★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is such a warm and welcoming space! We were able to get a couple of drinks with a bunch of our friends easily and hang out in the spacious backyard. We even were able to have our favourite beer, Back Home!
July 23 · KenziThe vibe of this place is wonderful ✨ The atmosphere is intimate and cozy, and the music, décor, and service are excellent. It also has a gorgeous backyard patio with beautiful lights and plants. The Cucumber Basil mocktail was INCREDIBLE, and the salad I ordered was super simple with just the perfect touch. Thank you, Masquerade, for making my visit to NYC even more special ♥️
May 10 · Mora EscoláNice interior. Food portions are tiny and very overpriced for the portion, I left the restaurant still hungry. Mezes were delicious but main courses weren’t good. This is not a place I would wanna have another dinner at.
April 23 · Abdullah BatainehGot lured in by all the good review. I took my out of town guest who enjoys Iranian food and left with the most disappointing meal ever. The only redeeming thing was the waitress that served us, she was very sweet which is why I bumped this rating to 2 stars. Food is honestly 1 star.AppetizerEggplant dip - only dish that was goodThe bread - very hard on the outside and inside, it just wasn’t for me even though the one review mention it was the best bread.Tomato and cucumber salad - good, but how can you go wrong with thisCrystal rice - it is crispy on the outside, but the burnt taste over powered the actual seasoned riceEntreeLamb Buger - avoid at all cost.Chicken - zero flavorDuck leg - trying too hard with a mole type of sauce that honestly didn’t elevate the duck or do anything to it.Bronzino with a mint sauce - it was decent out of the 4 entree we hadDrinksRose mezcal - strong, the smokiness overpowered any roseBeet generation - not for everyone, strong beet flavorSag - sweet and tart, what you expect from pomegranate juice.Turkish coffee martini - it was strong and my friend seem to like it.
March 29 · cinnamon sugar doughnutsBest Persian food in Brooklyn. Perhaps the best Persian food in all of New York or beyond. Thanks — we will be back!——————You know a restaurant is excellent when all you’ve had is their artisanal bread served with homemade butter, homemade yogurt turned into a dip, and homemade mortadella—yes, mortadella— and you’re thinking, “wow, I could eat just this, served with a bottle of wine…. I’d be more than satisfied.” And, also at this point thinking “when am I going to come back?”Not your typical kebab affair. It’s better. I promise. I was introduced to a world of Persian food I’ve never had at a restaurant before at a level of quality that is reserved for fine dining establishments. This is an elevated dining experience that is meant to be shared. And yes, there is a vibe too. Attention to detail with every dish that the chef explained to me is painstakingly made from scratch —yogurts, marinades, preparation taking days, with ingredients sourced locally. Warm, knowledgeable staff to boot, too.The drink menu is legit. Think Persian twists on classic drinks—-but executed well, where other twists often fail. The best espresso martini in Williamsburg. Perhaps the city. My wife said the best she’s ever had.
