What is Worth Choosing
When you visit Morelos Taco Truck, the choice of what to order can be the hardest part, but loyal customers have made a very strong case for a few specific items. The main reason to seek out this Brooklyn gem is the undisputed quality of its street-style Mexican cuisine, especially its highly-praised chicken Tinga.
The Tinga Tacos are, without a doubt, the star of the menu and the item most worth choosing. Reviewers consistently highlight them as "absolutely the move." The Tinga, which is spicy shredded chicken, is noted for being "flavorful" rather than simply "hot spicy," offering a depth of taste that many other trucks miss. If you enjoy fresh toppings, the Tinga with pico de gallo comes particularly recommended, offering a balanced and satisfying bite. This specific taco is often cited as a favorite even among long-time patrons who have tried everything else the truck offers.
If you’re leaning towards a larger meal, the burritos or bowls are the next best option. Based on local preference, the steak and the Tinga are frequently chosen as the best fillings for these hearty options. The generous portions and combination of rice, beans, and your protein of choice make for a fulfilling and quick comfort meal. For pork lovers, the Al Pastor is another strong contender, favored by many regulars for its distinct flavor profile.

You are choosing an established, local, and casual establishment that has served the New York community for years. You are opting for a quick and affordable meal that is big on flavor and perfectly suited for dining on the go. While a recent customer mentioned an issue with a spoiled horchata—highlighting the importance of quality control—the vast majority of reviews focus on the deliciousness and consistency of the food, especially the tacos and main dishes. In a city where finding truly great street food can be a challenge, choosing Morelos Taco Truck means choosing a proven, local champion of authentic Mexican flavors.
For New Yorkers, Morelos Taco Truck represents the best of local dining: high-quality food, fast service, and a welcoming, casual presence right in the heart of Park Slope. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've been a patron of this location for 6 years now and of their other trucks a little longer (like on Bedford & 7th). Like anywhere, what you order makes a difference.Their veggie option isn't the best but I can vouch for their tinga tacos (spicy shredded chicken). It's not hot spicy, just flavorful and absolutely the move if you're looking for tacos and you like pico in your tacos. The other tacos in my opinion leave something to be desired. If you're interested in a burrito / bowl, either the tinga or the steak are a great choice. My old roommate preferred the Al Pastor and my friend liked the shrimp.I've gotten a lot of friends into this truck, the Tinga is my absolute favorite but everyone has different taste so you gotta find what works for you. Hope this helps you find your usual order.
March 08 · Paul AssadTocas are good but just got the worst horchata ever tasted spoil. I told them, and did nothing about it. So gross throw it away right in front of his face 🤢
September 09 · Nuria Borja4: Tacos are fairly big, and taste is OK.2: The guy behaves like there's a queue of 20 people while it's only me. Zero patience, close to zero kindness.
June 03 · Vladimir ParezanovicStop by here twice last week it was soo good. My husband had ordered for the first order three Chorizo tacos. The following order on our second trip I got the Al Pastor Burrito , two tacos( shrimp and fish) , and chorizo tacos again. Everything was soo good. The presentation was awesome too. I literally have no pictures bc I chomped everything down. Really good late night eat especially for some of us whom work late in the area.
April 16 · A Moustaffa CraigLove stopping at this truck when I’m in the area. The tacos are flavorful and sooo good. I always get tacos Al Pastor.
