Motto To Go Introduce
In the dynamic and ever-evolving culinary landscape of Long Island City, **Motto To Go** presents itself as a modern, quick-service concept designed to cater to the neighborhood's fast-paced energy. This establishment positions itself primarily as a **Takeout Restaurant** and **Delivery service**, offering a menu built on bold, globally-inspired fusion flavors. It is a casual spot focused on providing satisfying **Comfort food** and a **Quick bite** for busy New Yorkers, especially for those looking for a flavorful and substantial **Lunch** or **Dinner**.
The core philosophy of Motto To Go centers on convenience and a unique menu that stands apart from typical NYC fare. The menu highlights this fusion approach with sandwiches like the **Spicy Chicken Sando**, the **Bulgogi Sando**, and the **Peruvian Lomo Burger**. While the operational focus is on digital ordering and efficient takeout, as suggested by its service options, it provides a crucial and flexible option for the residents and workers of Long Island City who need a dependable, non-traditional meal on the go. Its range of offerings, from savory sandwiches to distinct cookies and beverages, ensures a complete and flavorful experience.
However, it is important for prospective patrons to note that the dining experience is heavily geared towards speed and efficiency. The business model emphasizes online ordering via its website and a streamlined pickup process, which, based on customer feedback, can sometimes lead to delays during peak hours and a less traditional, high-touch counter service experience. For New Yorkers prioritizing exceptional food variety and flexible service methods for a quick meal, Motto To Go provides a compelling option.
Motto To Go is situated at **40-05 Skillman Ave, Long Island City, NY 11104, USA**. This address places it in a key part of the Long Island City/Sunnyside border area of Queens, a region well-known for its residential density and mix of commercial spaces. Skillman Avenue is a well-known street, making the location easy to find for residents and those utilizing the area’s excellent public transit.
As a location dedicated to high volume and quick turnover, its physical setup is designed for operational flow rather than an elaborate dining room experience. Customers should be aware that the primary method of ordering is digital. The street-level location facilitates easy access for both foot traffic and delivery drivers. The **Casual** atmosphere is aligned with a speedy grab-and-go model. While limited **Dine-in** seating may be available, the emphasis is clearly on getting your food quickly through methods like **Takeout** and **Curbside pickup**. The central Queens location offers a necessary service to a community that often requires fast, ready-to-eat meals, particularly around the lunch rush.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’m very disappointed at this place. Trying to find a last-minute quick eats that ended up taking about 35 minutes tops. You can’t order from the register you have to do it from their website. The amount of money I have spent for this spot is crazy. Also I purchased french fries that cost $4 which surprisingly looks like a kids meal lol. I was so furious omg. From a person who’s a foodie that just wanted to try a new place turns out to be trash. So do me a favor save yourself from making a trip to all this hassle. Definitely not worth it!!!
December 10 · Amina RahFirst time customer excited to try the new halal fusion food spot in LIC. Online websites didn’t mention there’s no seating. We realized when we got there but said no problem we’ll take it to go since we’re already here. At the kiosk, they were sold out of an item we wanted, at 8:20pm. We said that’s fine, ordered some other things and the system “estimated” 20-30 minutes wait time. Alright, cool, we’ll take a walk in the meantime since the weather is nice. Took a walk around the neighborhood, came back 30 minutes later, but didn’t receive a text yet saying our order was ready. So we said fine, let’s STAND and wait in the cramped hallway food pickup area. The screen in the corner shows the (many) orders and if they’re “Ready” or “Still Cooking”. Our order didn’t have a time estimate, but simply said “Delayed”. It’s not a typical “restaurant” so you can’t even ask someone what’s going on. In the end we waited until 9:41pm to get our food. Too many orders and not enough people working I guess.TL;DR - Not worth it. Eat at home and save yourself some time, money, and trouble.
December 08 · Hira SyedI saw the post on Instagram about the new spot and I was excited to try it, however once I got there it took 1 hour for them to get my order ready, it’s absolutely absurd the wait time just to get a simple burger and fries. When ordering there was an estimated wait time of 15-20 mins which turned into 1 hour. The burger was good however it is not worth the wait.
February 10 · Moshfiq AhmedWe placed our orders thru chow now. Upon arriving, I wasn't aware it's a locker service. Our order was listed on the screen as "delayed," but within 10-15 min of waiting, it switched to a locker number. I was able to call the number online for the restaurant & the guy was super helpful in helping me get my food. I can understand why it could be confusing, but the man on the other line was very attentive on how I could receive my food.Us, as a family, like dark meat, so would've preferred that for the chicken bites. But overall, give it an 8/10 for flavor & crunch. Burgers ordered were Lomo & Bulgogi, meat was cooked well & flavor was another 8/10. Fries order was a big decent size.Overall, experience was confusing at first, but once you understand the process, it's not bad. Because of the wait, the food got cold, hence the 8/10. Otherwise defintely worth a chance.
December 30 · Maheem SiddiquiReally tasty burgers! I had the bulgogi and it was amazing. Very nice team. Very affordable prices. Right now it is to-go only. Excited to see the establishment grow!
