MVP Pizza Corp is worth choosing for New Yorkers for several compelling reasons that solidify its status as a local favorite. It successfully marries the demand for classic, high-quality New York pizza with a diverse, satisfying Italian-American menu, all in a prime, accessible location.
The specific pizza selection is a major draw. The classic pies, such as the **Margherita** with homemade fresh mozzarella and basil, and the **Classico**, offer the foundational excellence every New Yorker expects. However, the specialties truly shine. The **Vodka Pizza** stands out, offering a rich and creamy twist on a classic, while the **Amici**—featuring ricotta, mozzarella, caramelized onions, and thin-sliced prosciutto—is an excellent choice for a more gourmet, savory experience. The **Insalata Pizza**, topped with fresh baby arugula and grape tomatoes, provides a lighter, yet flavorful option.
Beyond pizza, the value extends to the non-pizza items. Customers noted the fair pricing and generous portions, particularly mentioning the excellent value of the **Cheese Calzones** and the satisfying size of the pasta dishes. For those looking for a full meal, the **Homemade Cannelloni** or the decadent **Seafood Trio** offer true Italian restaurant quality in a casual setting. Even simple options like a cup of **Coffee** are available, catering to the needs of the everyday New York commuter or visitor.
In short, whether you’re a tourist wrapping up a ferry ride and needing an authentic NY lunch, a local resident craving a reliable, high-quality dinner, or simply looking for a friendly, accommodating spot for **Solo dining**, MVP Pizza Corp provides a great experience. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We are visiting the city for a girls trip. We rode the Staten Island Ferry to get a good view of the Statue of Liberty. Instead of turning right around we decided to have lunch on Staten Island. We wanted to go to Nonna’s (from the movie) but it was sold out. We wandered back toward the ferry and discovered MVP Pizza that said local favorite in the window. It was quiet so they had room for six of us. Sergio was a great host and cook. He told us he had a limited menu but then made us two great pies. No artichokes so he suggested mushrooms as a pairing which was delicious. It was a great experience all around- we could chat and spend time while indulging in perfect NY pizza! Please try it you won’t be sorry!PS. If you like the T-shirts we got them from Brown Dog Ink on Etsy.
September 26 · Susan YorkWe saw this place by accident when we wanted to visit “Nonnas of the World” but it was way busy. We didn’t regret to visit Mvp Pizza. Prices were quite good as for New York, around 10-14$ for Calzone and the portions are big.Mister Sergio was very kind and nice to us so I would definitely go there again when I am visiting NYC.
June 13 · Вікторія ФедюраTook some visiting friends here after going on the ferry, the place seems to be ran by 1-2(?) people with only one person running the shop at any given time, so I think you should give leeway when they sell out of menu items, especially late in the day. That said, I ordered an eggplant parmigiana roll while my friends also ordered cheese pizza and a spinach white pizza. The eggplant roll was very cheesy and savory, two being given per order which is very generous as most pizza places in Queens or Manhattan would charge the same for just one of them. The white pizza was crispy and looked very expertly done. There was about a 20-30 minute wait, so unless you're just walking in to order something already ready, I wouldn't come here if I was in a rush, but I didn't mind since it was a very relaxed atmosphere and it was just one person making our food from scratch.I'd definitely come here again if in the area, it was quite cheap for the quantity and quality of food given.
August 25 · Reisen LemonWent to Nonna's after the Netflix hype. Couldn't find place as it was packed. Was hungry so went to nearby this place. Sergio was amazing host and great cook and made us happy. Food as really good and satisfying.
October 19 · Anindo ChatterjeeI ordered the carrot ginger soup and the garden salad, and both of them were amazing! They were above my expectations. The owner was also really welcoming and nice. Perfect place to eat.
