What is Worth Choosing
For New Yorkers visiting Nadezhda, the focus should be on experiencing the unique, highly-rated staples that define this fusion of Kosher, Russian, and Uzbeki cuisine.
First and foremost, the Lula Kebab ($5.00) is a consistently featured and highly popular choice. This minced meat kebab, often a blend of lamb and/or beef, is lauded for its flavor and is considered a must-try. Similarly, the Skirt Steak "Vyrezka" ($8.50) is frequently highlighted in reviews as excellent. For those new to the cuisine, choosing one of these perfectly grilled meats is an ideal starting point.
Next, dive into the unique baked and steamed items. The Bukharian Manty ($2.50 per piece), which are large, savory steamed dumplings, and the various Samsa (ranging from $3.50 to $5.50), which are flaky pastries often baked in a traditional oven, offer a genuine taste of Central Asian comfort food. Customers have raved that the Uzbeki Bread "Lepioshka" ($3.00) is "incredible and large" and pairs wonderfully with the main courses.
For soups, the "Gorkiy" Lagman ($6.00)—a rich noodle and meat soup—is a highly recommended warm and hearty dish. Finally, to balance the rich flavors, order one of the fresh salad or spread options. The Avocado Salad ($9.00) or the smoky Babaganoush ($7.00) are great complements to the kebabs and dough specialties. Overall, a visit to Nadezhda is a chance to step outside the usual New York culinary rotation and enjoy authentic, hearty, and flavorful cuisine that resonates deeply with its Forest Hills community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Ordered Lyulya Kebab via UberEats. Lyulya is red. It’s totally raw inside. It’s not safe to consume like this food. Called to explain the girl on the phone started arguing with me that it can’t be raw. Told her I can send a picture she said no it’s ok just go ahead and order something else and we will give lyulya for credit. Speechless…
August 20 · Ergashev BahromjonService is the worst I have ever experienced. Waiter was rude and yelled at my wife that outside is the only table available and then snapping in her face. Who cares how good the food is if you are going to be treated like a dog.
August 10 · Travis UberJUST TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! 1. We waited 40 minutes for soup 2. Mexican waiters bring you dishes without gloves and touch all the cutlery with dirty hands 3. There is no order in customer service, the last ones to arrive get their order first. 4. The guys themselves set a 15% and it is not the customer who decides

April 02 · Michael H.Russian restaurant in Forest Hills. They said it’s Russian but I think it’s more like Eastern European. It’s nice restaurant with plenty of space inside for just to hang out with friends and family or make any big pastries for any occasions. A lot of seating outside as well. Food and n general was good. Salad Nadegda was not to satisfying $11 for small plate of spinach some avocado cherry tomatoes that was not even cut and carrots just not what I expected I think just fresh salad would be better and cheaper. Lamb kebab I ordered with no bone but for some reason some of them still have some. Pelmeny meat didn’t taste fresh. And I don’t know why they charge me 15% service charge just for two people if that’s a tip per would tip much more but other wise what that charge for?
