★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Everyone, avoid Nai Ge on 8th Avenue and 59th Street. A couple of days ago, I ordered takeout from there and found a lot of hair in the food. I sent photos to the manager, and he claimed it wasn’t hair, but mushrooms from the first photo. Then he told me to bring the food back so he could take a look.I did bring it back—not because I wanted a refund or a replacement, but to let them know they have hygiene issues in the kitchen and to maybe get an apology. But they kept denying responsibility, saying all the chefs wear hats and this kind of issue rarely happens. When I asked him to explain what it was if not hair, he said he didn’t know either. Isn’t that ridiculous? One of the chefs told him to refund me, and he said if it really was their fault, he had no problem with a refund. But he acted like I was just trying to scam a free meal. Since I couldn’t get a straight answer, I just took the bag of food I brought and told them I would report them to 311.On the way home, the manager called me and gave a bunch of useless explanations, saying that was their way of handling things. I wasn’t satisfied and feel the need to expose them. I’ll be posting this on Xiaohongshu too. I’m really upset—please help share this.
May 05 · Yan ZhaoFood is great - fish dish. The service is not espectacular but friendly. Been there multiple times and everything in there is decent! Recommended to try! They also sell milk/fruit tea in there.
August 20 · Chuangda LiangMy bestie’s fav place for lunch. Idk what she enjoys but if youre a fan of tangy sour soup then this the place for you. She likes soups like that, and it comes with rice. Which is prob why she likes this restaurant. The interior is cozy and clean, has a station for bubble teas and stuff.I tried the tangy kimchi beef soup and was just ok about it. It has bean sprouts in it by default which is nice cause I like bean sprouts, but the flavor were not bad! Its lowkey addicting, but i wish it has cilantro flavor. The portions were generous and rice were just enough for it.I added tofu skin and it didnt come with a lot, but a good amount of meat and ingredients. $15.
