Takeout: This is the core of the business. The restaurant is exclusively set up for takeout, meaning you can place your order and pick it up to enjoy at home or on the go. This model ensures that food is prepared quickly and efficiently, minimizing wait times and maximizing convenience for customers who are in a hurry. A key feature noted by customers is the lack of dine-in service, which underscores its focus on being a quick-service, to-go establishment.
Affordable and Generous Portions: A major part of the service is the value for money. Customers rave about the generous quantity and high quality of the food at an affordable price point. This combination is a significant draw, making it a popular choice for families and individuals looking for a filling meal without a high cost.
Quick Bites: The menu is designed for a quick and satisfying meal. Whether you're grabbing a classic Egg Roll as a snack or a full order of Beef with Broccoli for dinner, the food is prepared to be a fast and fulfilling option. This makes it ideal for a lunch break or a simple dinner after a long day.
It is important to note, based on customer reviews, that they do not offer menus to take home or delivery services, which might be a consideration for some. However, for those in the neighborhood who are looking for a dependable takeout spot, this model works well.
What makes New Cheung Lee Kitchen stand out in a city with countless Chinese food options are its specific strengths and qualities.
Exceptional Quality and Value: A standout feature is the restaurant's commitment to quality and quantity at an affordable price. As one customer puts it, "Every dish there is 10 out of 10." This praise for the food’s quality, combined with the generous portions, creates an unbeatable value proposition that keeps customers coming back. The dishes are described as being of a "higher quality" than other places, which is a significant factor in its reputation.

For many, it's a familiar and nostalgic spot that they've been going to for years, adding to its appeal as a true neighborhood favorite.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've lived in Brooklyn just over 1 year and this is by far the best Chinese spot when it comes down to the best of quality and quantity at an affordable price that we all appreciate during this bidenflation. Every dish there is 10 out of 10. You'll get a lot of food for not too much at higher quality then places that give u less for more. They wud have a perfect rating from me but got only 4 stars for atmosphere and 5 on the rest. This is only because they don't offer menus to take and don't allow u to eat in and they don't deliver. Other than that, best spot in Crown Heights for sure!
April 06 · Luca KnightI've lived in this neighborhood for 10 years but I only started eating here pretty regularly (couple times a month anyway) in the last year or so. It's surprisingly good for a neighborhood take out place. Good fried chicken, roast pork, shrimp and Chinese vegetables, dumplings, etc. I mean it's not the best Chinese restaurant in New York but for a neighborhood place it's pretty good. And they have been here for I think she said like 30 years.
January 06 · Rick BrunerI love these guys. Best shrimp fried rice.
March 17 · Nône-of-ür BiznezIt is a to-go restaurant. Dark kitchen of sorts. The food is good just like in any of the Chinese restaurants of this type. The price and the menu are identical compared to other restaurants of that virtual chinese chain. For example, smaller portion of fried rice and vegetables is 5 usd which is very good.
December 05 · Parviz IGreat food. Some of the best Chinese food I've had honestly. Rice is consistently well made and there's something about the fried wings that stands out amongst other Chinese food spots.
