★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A mobile truck serving Mexican vegan food…count me in! I’ve noticed this truck from past vegan related events, and was never able to try it because they were way too busy. There was a time that I put in an order and it was never made. I left disappointed for sure, but they recently did a popup at Dunwell Donuts in Brooklyn, so I thought to give them a try again. The guys who prepared my order were amazing! Honestly and truly! I ordered the mushroom al pastor tacos with rice and beans. As far as the food, there was room for opportunity. The rice wasn’t fully cooked, leaving bits of hard rice grains. The beans were salty and the mushroom al pastor had a funny seasoning taste. Honestly, with all the factors listed, i’ll still give this place another try. This mobile truck has potential and I would be open to try other foods listed on their menu.
November 07 · Wali GJust had this food trucks El Hombre-Carne Asada and all I can say is WOW!!! This is the closest thing I've had to real steak since going vegan. Best ever delicious must try this place.
May 20 · Bee SumptuousI ordered jackfruit tacos at the Pinche Vegana food stand at the vegan night market in Columbus circle. The staff were super friendly and they were well stocked. The jackfruit tacos had generous portions and were so appetizing and delicious (evident by the fact that I couldn't wait to eat the first taco before taking pictures). Definitely will want to make the trip to the food truck to try more of their options and food. Amazing vendor and worth checking out if you're vegan or not!
May 22 · Kunal DattaMy husband and I split a burrito from Pinche Vegana one afternoon a couple weeks ago. We were really impressed with the size of it, the portion received was huge and stuffed full of good ingredients. Flavors were very good overall, I do feel like you could kind of taste that weird taste that some vegan meat substitutes have, but it was seasoned well. The other ingredients tasted very fresh, and of good quality. The service was extremely friendly, chill, and patient when we were deciding what to get. The food was prepared very quickly and was nice and hot. The truck looked really clean and well-kept as also. The price point is reasonable for the amount of ingredients/food you'll receive, and I would recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
November 18 · Melody CraigThe best Mexican food hands down in NYC! If The truck didn't advertise being vegan, I would never believe it! $12 tacos are such a great price for being vegan, most places charge $20 for two tacos! I had the mushrooms and they were seared with pineapple to perfection, and I could taste the Ancho Chili's exploding in my mouth! Then I tried their deep fried tacos which were to die for, the red salsa and the dairy-free queso YUMMY! The service was awesome with a huge smile! The owner so friendly and inviting makes you feel at home. I will be back every weekend. They are at culture lab to eat again!!
