What is Worth Choosing
With an extensive menu that changes seasonally, it can be hard to know what to choose at Pret A Manger. For a classic, satisfying lunch, you can't go wrong with one of their famous baguettes, such as the Pret's Famous Ham & Cheese Baguette. The quality of the ham and Swiss cheese on a freshly baked baguette is a simple pleasure that many New Yorkers return for. Another strong contender is the Pret's Chicken Salad & Avocado Sandwich, which offers a creamy and refreshing blend of chicken salad with the richness of avocado and a touch of sweetness from dried cranberries.
If you're looking for a healthier or plant-based option, the menu offers plenty of choices that are both flavorful and filling. The Rainbow Veggie Sandwich, with its miso sesame hummus and a crunchy medley of vegetables, is a standout vegan option. For something warm and substantial, their melts and hot wraps are a must-try. The Roasted Mushroom & Swiss Melt is a vegetarian delight, combining roasted mushrooms with Swiss cheese on a seeded multi-grain roll. The Falafel & Hummus Wrap is another excellent choice for a hearty, plant-based meal. Don’t forget to check out their soups, which are a popular choice, especially during cooler months, like the comforting Tomato & Feta Soup.
Beyond the savory options, their baked goods are a significant draw. The croissants and pastries are a perfect companion to their acclaimed coffee. Whether it's for a quick breakfast or an afternoon treat, items like the Ham & Cheddar Croissant or a simple Chocolate Chip Cookie are always a good decision. The beverage selection is also top-tier, featuring not just great coffee and tea but also a variety of lemonades and other refreshing drinks. Ultimately, what makes Pret A Manger worth choosing is its ability to provide a consistent, fresh, and high-quality meal with the speed that New Yorkers demand, making it a reliable and delightful part of the daily urban experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Like that they labeled everything vegan and Vegetarian with the ingredients. But the staff could be a little more customer engulfed than engaging in personal conversations. Nothing's wrong with getting along with your fellow coworkers and developing a friendship but paying attention to customers goes a long way for a business' survival. Just a thought.
April 17 · ChandThe new manager in that place was very unprofessional. I have been patronizing this location for the past 3 years. I never had problem today the sandwich I bought was not ready k waited 20 minutes she knew I was waiting the other cashier was attending to another customer. She ignored me even when I wax on the line to pay for the sandwich. This left me a bad taste in my mouth. She needs customer service skills. And should not lead anyone. I have to stop going to that location which is a huge inconvenience.
September 05 · Freddie VasquezAs a coffee shop they do such a sloppy job with their coffee. It’s not even worth the unlimited monthly subscription. This is what they gave me for oat cappuccino, just straight up oat milk with no shot in it. Poured into a clear cup to show the color. Such a waste of time getting coffee from here.
October 13 · Ann YinI try to have low expectations for hot chocolate -- I know it's an unusual order -- but this place managed to still not meet the bar. This was worse than Starbucks and worse than the $2 Matto Expresso, but it still cost almost $6. It's very hard for me to not gulp down hot chocolate on a cold day but I ended up not even finishing the mug. Service and the location were fine (although I didn't like the loud music they played) but the food quality is unacceptably bad for the price -- not recommended!
January 08 · Kyle WeberIf you're not too hungry, you can find a healthy and tasty mini lunch here for around $10. The workers have always been super friendly too.
