★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I stopped by a nearby hospital and was able to eat a variety of foods at a good price here in front of the hospital. The store was clean, the price was good, and there were many customers. Most of them have take out customers.
February 21 · Joohee ShinCrab salad, salmon, and brussel sprouts. The food is good. The guy can be a little cheap, but it's to make sure there's enough. The lady at the counter is very sweet!
October 24 · Samira AliAlways good food. But today, I ordered and was charged for a sandwich that was definitely not worth the money I paid . I asked for scrambled egg whites with Swiss cheese on a roll with butter. But I what I got was fried egg with no cheese seems like only one egg so more roll than egg. I'm definitely disappointed. This is unacceptable.
October 15 · Gina MontefuscoThis place was bad….like really bad. I was walking to another place when I spotted this joint and was like hey, my namesake, gotta support and give it a try 😊. Boy do I regret it. It is not really a restaurant/cafe. It’s like a cross between a bodega and a hot buffet place. The hot buffet is sorta expensive (but what isn’t expensive these days?) at $9.99/lb. I tried (literally) a spoon full of Mac and cheese, sweet plantains and a piece of fried fish which came up to almost $9. EVERYTHING was disgusting!🤮 Nothing had any seasoning on it. The plantains were OOZING an extreme amount of oil and barely fried. The Mac n cheese was definitely made with Cheez Whiz and other imitation “cheeses”. The place was extremely hot inside. No AC and the cooler for drinks was broken so every beverage they sold was room temperature…..in July, in NYC summer heat temps of 90+ degrees. I guess they get good business because they are locate across the street from a hospital center and the area has little to NO food options. Luck them! I would not recommend.
July 27 · Rae ThompsonI've been to Raes a few times no problem. Today I ordered bacon egg and cheese with home fries, whole wheat toast and coffee which is my usual but today I got a little extra iron. I took a couple bites of my toast and I felt something in my mouth crunching while i was chewing i didnt want to break a teeth so i took it out and it was a piece of metal. It wasnt the aluminum foil the toast was in. I went to the counter girl and showed her the piece of metal and she didn't even apologize she only said what do you want me to do. She brought the cook out and he said i dont know how that got in there. I won't be going back there. I was giving them a chance to do the right thing and they didnt. Imagine if i swallowed it.
