★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Our first time here, and we’ll definitely be back! The food was excellent with generous portions, and the service went above and beyond. The place is beautifully decorated. I especially loved the mural and the fun message boards throughout. It wasn’t loud, which made it perfect for great conversation during dinner. We also picked up some bakery items to go, and they were absolutely delicious. We came on a Saturday night as a group of six and didn’t have to wait long at all. Overall, a fantastic experience! October 06 · Jacqueline Jimenez Rojas
- I went to have dinner at Restaurante Salvadoreño Las Canastillas. I usually order the pupusa de chicharrón, but this time I had the steak with white rice, which was cooked well-done and very tasty. My boyfriend ordered the breaded chicken with white rice and beans, and he enjoyed his meal too. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere that makes it a great place for a date it’s not too loud, and there’s a lot of fun, colorful art on the walls that adds to the experience. - Parking can be tough to find, so hopefully you get lucky or don’t mind a short walk.I ordered a simple meal—chicken fingers and fries—and it came out just the way I wanted, although the wait time was a bit longer than expected. The inside is bright, colorful, and inviting. You’re greeted at the door, which sets a positive tone right away. Both the restaurant and bar areas are clean, well-organized, and clearly well-maintained. There’s a steady flow of customers, but it never felt overcrowded. The music adds a great touch to the atmosphere—perfect for enjoying a meal or drink while having a conversation. I’d definitely recommend checking this place out and look forward to coming back! June 20 · Omar Colon
- I stopped for dining to try some authentic Salvadoran food. The restaurant stands out with its colorful murals and Salvadoran sayings inside and outside, giving it a cultural and welcoming vibe.Parking is a bit limited, but if you’re lucky you’ll find a spot. When I visited, the place was full always a good sign.I tried four pupusas: cheese, loroco with cheese, chipilín with cheese, and jalapeño with cheese. The loroco pupusa was my favorite, the cheese was delicious, and the jalapeño had a mild spice that was enjoyable. The chipilín was new for me not my favorite flavor, but I appreciated trying something authentic. The cashew (Marañón ) drink was refreshing and not too sweet, and I finished with a nice cup of coffee. The atmosphere was a highlight: soft music in the background makes it perfect for conversation, and on Fridays after 7 PM, they host live shows that bring more energy to the space. Service was excellent the waitress was friendly, attentive, and patient while explaining dishes information of the restaurant.Overall, a spot I’d recommend for anyone looking for authentic Salvadoran flavors in a cultural and family-friendly setting. I’ll definitely be back to try the soups next time. September 21 · Pedro Martinez (AcidezVlog)
- Food was delicious and authentic. The atmosphere was great and made me feel like back home. The artwork is so awesome. The staff was great, so kind. We are sad we don't have something like this in Maryland. April 15 · K Lopez
