★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The food was fine, but uneven. Some of the swordfish in the pasta was dry, some was good. The tomato salad was okay, it didn't do much with the tomato. The black bass was really good, tender and crispy outside, and the dressing really lifted the flavors.I felt the waitress was rushing me. She stood by the table while I was taking the last portion of the salad, and she took the plates twice literally while I was eating. The place looked nice, but it was extremely loud. Even though loud is the sad trend in NYC now, the noise level here was off the charts and for that reason alone I can't recommend it, but adding the bad service, I really don't want to be back.
July 23 · Javier KohenTo die for!! It’s hard not to order the whole menu. They start you off with the most delicious fresh bread and then it just keeps getting better!! Great drinks and great atmosphere, beautiful comforting vibe. I’ve had tables for two and tables for four-six here, they’re very accommodating. It’s an easy place for conversation and just a great time!
May 12 · Sara RubleRomans is an absolutely phenomenal restaurant in the heart of Fort Greene. Emily and Fernando hosted us for an exceptional meal and evening. The menu is inventive and changes regularly. The execution with the fresh ingredients on Roman flavors can stand up to any restaurant in the city.
August 09 · Joe CretiniThis had been on my list for a long time but hadn’t gone and boy I wish I had gone sooner! This is by far the best food I’ve ever had in Fort Greene! The restaurant itself is simple and cute, but the food was really outstanding. The highlights for me was the cabbage dish and the fettuce dish. Both great early spring dishes. The pasta was cooked perfectly, we way over ordered but no regrets because I wanted a bite of it all! Not to mention the special sour drink of the night was a New York sour which is one of my favorites and few places do it well. 10/10 new favorite spot in the area!
April 13 · mike gasperGot a res & sat at the bar for two on a Saturday. Not loud, enough space to not feel cramped, great space.Ordered the flank steak and scallop entrees, and olives as the starter. I cannot make this up, the scallop dish was one of the best dishes I’ve had in NYC. The sweetness of the scallop, matching with the salty-citrus broth it came with… WOW! Bring it back! Cabbage, mushrooms, and sweet potato was great too. Very, VERY happy about this dish.Flank steak was also very good, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the chimichurri sauce was very good. It was accompanied by a flavorful & elevated rice and beans. Didn’t wow me, but you can taste the quality and flavor.Drinks great, and the warmed olives are yummy.
