★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Rosen's at 2 Broadway is convenient for the people that work there, but not any more affordable than the other restaurants in the area. From now on, I'll take feeling like a valued customer over convenience and continue to walk the extra block to Flavors from now on. Their prices are about the same or less and the quality of food and service is way better there, especially since they have more menu items and more toppings for your omelette.Today I went to Rosen's out of convenience and when I asked about my order I was addressed with "what?!" and a snark response which was not called for at all. This is the second time this has happened to me. They're too busy for good customer service or quality food.At Rosen's, everything is prepared on one grill which leaves my food tasting like every other food that has been or is being prepared. I had french toast today that tasted like bacon and sausage grease. The chefs don't change their gloves or clean the grill in between orders. If this bothers you as much as it bothers me, then express your dietary needs to staff at Flavors and they'll oblige. Flavors isn't as convenient as Rosen's, so its less busy, but that just means they're more likely to treat you with respect. The staff there also remembers just about everyone's order just by seeing their face which is an added touch.Hope this helps,Nathalie
June 09 · NATCOLEZThe food is good, just be precise on what you want and make sure the cook does the job. The coffee is horrible, taste like paper, stay away. Cashier has a habit to overcharge at times, please check your order.
February 09 · Raj BaichanI would give it 0 stars if I could! Every time I go there, something aggravating happens.(I miss Crystal!) One time, they tried to give me a bakery item that I asked for toasted, but it had crossed over to burnt, and they tried to palm it off on me anyway. I went all the way upstairs to my desk before realizing this, and had to go back downstairs to complain. They didn't seem to understand that burnt was not the right way to serve baked goods.Today, when trying to avoid an outrageous charge for butter or cream cheese on a bagel, I decided to get a croissant toasted, without anything on it, because the butter in the croissant would be "activated" by toasting it. Well, don't think that they would let me get away with that--they charged me an extra 25 cents over and above the price posted to toast my croissant--there is nothing on the menu board indicating such a charge, so I think that it is bogus--just another way to overcharge--what will they charge for next--the fact that they have to use their cash registers to check me out? How about their uniforms? I will never go to Rosen's again--I don't even care if I have to spend twice as much elsewhere--their "customer service" is non-existent--the cashier defended the 25 cent charge and told me that she wouldn't tell her boss how ridiculous it was to charge to toast something--I don't understand her lack of empathy and how "snarky" she was to me. NEVER AGAIN!
November 15 · Debbie PollackHorrible! Second time I go in and for the second time they screw up my order. What pisses me off is that they are talking in spanish and I ask for my order in spanish and they still couldn't get it right twice. If I ask for exactly what someone else just received why in the hell would I receive anything different and if I ask for just a sandwich why would they take it upon themselves to add fries to my order, it's not like the fries are free. Won't be back!
March 09 · George InfanteI don't know y I go there. The food is horrible. They get order wrong. Then egg shells always in egg sandwiches. The coffee is never hot. I got raw chicken from there. And the service is not good at times.
