★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We were absolutely amazed by how good the catered food from YIPS was for our wedding! Our guests could not stop commenting on how delicious everything was. The spring rolls were impressively large and somehow stayed perfectly crispy all evening. The shrimp were generously sized and full of flavor—truly a standout. People were raving about the food all night long, and we can confidently say we’ll be ordering from YIPS again in the future!
August 06 · Greta SjolieSure! Here’s a polished review you can use for Yelp, Google, or elsewhere:⸻We recently had food catered by Yips for a special event, and it was way beyond all expectations! Every dish was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The beef chow fun was especially memorable—tender beef, perfectly chewy noodles, and that classic wok hei flavor that’s so hard to find. The shrimp were also outstanding—plump, fresh, and cooked just right. Our guests couldn’t stop raving, and several even asked where the food was from so they could order it themselves. The portions were generous, and the quality was consistent across all dishes. Yips really delivered—this is catering done right.Would highly recommend Yips for anyone looking for amazing, no-fuss, and truly delicious food for an event or gathering. A hidden gem that never disappoints!
August 06 · Michael JaceI dare say that the Beaver St. Yips is a legend in the Financial District. I think that nearly everyone who works in the area knows about this place. And why not? The food is really good, the portions are generous, and the price is right. What more do you want? I’ve had most things on the menu through the years, and have almost always loved my dishes. The hours are quite short and restrictive, and they could make a lot more money if they stayed open longer. But if you can make it in before 5 PM, then you should check them out. You’ll see why this place is an institution for us native New Yorkers.
January 15 · Michael PantonVery tasty authentic Chinese food from Hong Kong. Very nice and good service. Thank you so much!😋😁👍👍
September 15 · Kenny TsangA hidden gem in FiDi! So relieved that they had reopened recently after renovations.I’ve been eating at Yips for years, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best spots in the neighborhood—not just for the flavor, but also for the incredible value. The food is so delicious and so reasonably priced. Some standouts for me:The garlic shrimp is always fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. The beef chow fun is savory and satisfying—it reminds me a lot of Thai Pad See Ew in the best way.And the curry chicken? Rich, creamy, with just the right amount of spice. Absolute comfort food.Everything on the menu is reliably good, and you can’t beat the prices, especially in this part of Manhattan. After loving their food for so long, I reached out to them for catering for a wedding, and the manager went above and beyond. Not only did he offer a generous deal because it was a special occasion, but he made sure there was more than enough food for nearly 80 guests. The quality, quantity, and service were so impressive I added an extra $50 tip—it was that good.Compared to other restaurants I’ve ordered from on DoorDash or Seamless, Yips stands in a league of its own. This place is a staple for people who work or live in the Financial District—and once you try it, you’ll understand why.
