★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Best quality falafel for 35 years!I’ve been buying lunch from Sam’s Falafel occasionally for the past 24 years, since I started working in Downtown Manhattan. The truck stayed at the same plaza - before 9/11, after 9/11, after COVID, and beyond. It’s amazing how for all these years they have consistently maintained the high quality of their food.Unlike other food trucks that offer falafel as just one of many items, Sam’s Falafel focuses on falafel only, and along with perfectly matching complements they master it to delicious perfection. Portions are generous with about seven falafel balls served with hummus, tahini, salad, pita chips, fried eggplant, stuffed grape leaves, caramelized onions, pickled hot peppers, and of course, pita bread. At first glance, the portion looks too large for one person to finish. However, it tastes so good that it disappears quickly and easily. For all these years, there's been a long line to Sam’s Falafel food truck at lunchtime, and that speaks for itself. At this point, Sam’s Falafel is a legend, and could easily be considered one of Downtown Manhattan’s culinary attractions.I highly recommend trying the Sam’s Falafel platter if you like Middle Eastern cuisine and are up for a hearty, fulfilling lunch in Downtown Manhattan!

August 19 · Rosy SaldanhaThe food was fresh, fast, and filling. The portions were appropriate. Sam was a kind man. We sat and ate at zuccotti Park to people watch.
July 25 · Pilar HernandezThe falafel was very delicious and there were also pita chips. It all came with hummus and you could choose the spice level. Sam was very nice and made it exactly how we wanted it. Would highly recommend this place for vegetarians.👍
