What is Worth Choosing
When visiting Sara Sara, New Jersey diners are advised to focus on the traditional Peruvian specialties that truly define the restaurant's identity and value proposition.
The most defining and worthwhile choice is to delve into the Tallarines Saltados or the Chifa menu items. The Tallarin Saltado de Carne (Spaghetti with Beef) or Tallarin Saltado de Pollo (Spaghetti with Chicken) are excellent, highly popular choices. These dishes are part of the vibrant criollo (creole) tradition, featuring noodles stir-fried with meat, vegetables, and a savory sauce—a perfect example of Peruvian comfort food that is both hearty and flavorful. Similarly, the Chaufa Niway, a Peruvian take on fried rice, is a fusion masterpiece that offers a satisfying blend of textures and spices.
For starters, you should not skip the Papa a la Huancaína. This signature appetizer, featuring sliced boiled potatoes covered in a creamy, slightly spicy yellow pepper sauce, is a true taste of Peru and an essential experience at any authentic Peruvian restaurant in Lodi. For those seeking lighter fare, the Ensalada de Camaron (Shrimp Salad) provides a fresh, seafood-focused option. Finally, keep an eye out for main course specialties like the Aji de Gallina (shredded chicken in a rich, creamy yellow pepper sauce) and the various beef and chicken dishes served with traditional Peruvian sides, ensuring you get a complete and authentic taste of South America right here in New Jersey.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great food and prices are good. Big place and it's never busy when I've gone. I'll go back again and again.
May 20 · Miguel SilvaShould’ve read the reviews before I ordered. I never leave bad reviews especially if I only have ordered once, but I won’t be again. First, the person who delivered my food from the restaurant had the audacity to ask for a tip.. I told him I put it online & then he asked how much I tipped... Seriously? Second, I ordered the ceviche & it tasted like someone had dropped the entire salt shaker. I would’ve thrown it out if I didn’t just pay $30 for it. No napkins, no utensils. Won’t be ordering from here again.
January 10 · Stef KostovaThis was really good. I had the stuffed avocado and the ceviche. The ingredients I had were fresh. Can't give it 5 stars because there's still things on the menu that they don't have in stock yet but I'll be coming back to try them.
July 24 · Gordon PepperDelicious food! Great prices. Fast service. If you don't speak Spanish, you may have a harder time ordering, but it's worth it. If you need gluten free options, they have them, but you may not get an accurate answer if you ask about it because I don't think they get it.
December 23 · Emilyanne Montesdeocaunbelievable. Zero stars, First Off I was the only person in this restaurant not one other table it took me over 45 minutes to get my food. Also my order came out wrong completely wrong it was cold as well. The waitress couldn’t even give me any type of explanation it was embarrassing/awkward and sketchy. I had no spoon no plates to distribute the food it was absolutely no salt in the food. I asked the waitress for plates she brought me bowls for eating soup I don’t know how this place remains open. also took forever to get the spoon to take the rice out of the rice bowl to give to my guests. And food was not brought out all together so we had to stare at our food just waiting for the rest to come out. everything tasted old, there was no taste, no flavor at all. I really don’t know how this place is operating and just to make things worse I went to the bathroom and it was a disaster it’s smelled very bad stay away from this restaurant do not spend your hard earned money here you’ll feel like you were robbed when you leave it.
