What is Worth Choosing
When exploring the menu at Sushi Mambo Express, a New York diner should certainly focus on the unique fusion offerings that have garnered the most attention. The essence of the restaurant lies in its adventurous spirit, marrying seemingly disparate cuisines into something truly delicious and regional. This is why the Fusion Rolls are the main attraction.
The Nueva York Roll, featuring shrimp tempura, bacon, avocado, and sweet plantain, is consistently highlighted as a top-liked item and is frequently part of a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, making it an excellent value and a must-try for a first-time visitor. The Uptown Roll (Chicken tempura, ham steak, cream cheese, avocado, and sweet plantain) and the Dominicano Roll (Longaniza, fried cheese, and sweet plantain) are also highly popular and exemplify the restaurant's signature style. For those who enjoy a bit of spice and a rich flavor profile, the Volcano Roll (Shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, sweet plantain, and spicy kani) is another highly-rated choice.
For a non-sushi option, the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box is a featured and highly-liked item, often included in the BOGO deal, providing a complete, satisfying meal with white rice, salad, miso soup, a California roll, and fried dumplings. It’s a great choice for a substantial lunch or dinner.
While the traditional offerings like Spicy Tuna Roll and various Nigiri and Sashimi pieces are available, it is the creative, Latin-infused dishes—the fusion rolls, the Chofan (Fried Rice), and the classic sides like Maduros (sweet plantains) and Tostones (fried plantains)—that provide the most distinct and memorable flavor experience. The popular BOGO deals are also worth looking out for, as they offer an opportunity to try two different specialty items at a favorable price point, a perk that always resonates well with savvy New York diners. Ultimately, what is worth choosing is a dive into the flavorful intersection of cultures that defines Sushi Mambo Express.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered delivery and the boxing was clean and pretty. The food was great . Also they had a buy one, get one even in popular dishes such as the ones I got. I ordered a New York Roll and a Teriyaki bento. The flavor was pretty good.
June 27 · Yalitza RosarioSAVE YOURSELF AND DONT ORDER. seriously, i spent so much money on already packaged sushi and the food tasted so bad. it tasted old and just not good at all. they sent me one sashimi piece for like $10. so so so expensive and not good at all. ill never get food from them again.
September 20 · amsNot sushi! Disgusting! Expensive for what it is. Not a restaurant, it's inside a Food Universe. The rice has not been treated as sushi rice, it plain rice. They didn't cook the bacon or sweet plantains throughly. We ordered the Nueva York roll $13. The plantains were hard, not sweet and the bacon was raw. It tasted weird. Very salty. The food is made in the same section of Spanish take out, in the front of the market by the exit. They didn't include any Wasabi or ginger. Not sushi. Don't call it that, use a different name to describe your food. The food preparer ignored us and only responded to the market worker that handed out the completed orders.Just glad we didn't order any more food and waste our money. We've have had excellent fusion Latin Asian food, this is not it.No indoor dining. Take out only.
August 09 · BossHour and a half+ for delivery. Taste is okay. No fork, napkins, chopsticks, wasabi or even ginger. Seriously not worth it, sad that the owner is losing their money behind scenes.
September 07 · Dariel DiazIf I could give a 0 I would. I ordered from uber eats and they took 2 hours to prepare 2 rolls. The service was literally trash, every time I called to check in on my order it was always 10 minutes or 15 minutes. Never got my food and canceled my order. Don’t ever order from here.
