★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The Noortwyck is the kind of place you almost don’t want to tell too many people about—because it’s that good. Tucked into the West Village, it somehow manages to offer a spacious dining room (a luxury in NYC), but we chose to sit at the bar, and we’re glad we did.Service was fantastic—warm, attentive, and unpretentious. The bartender was a standout: friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of the craft coming out of the kitchen. We started with the oyster appetizer, which was fresh and perfectly balanced—simple, elegant, and a great start. The rest of the menu was eclectic without trying too hard. Every dish felt purposeful and well-executed, with flavors that were refined but not fussy. This is one of those rare spots where everything just works. Go here with confidence—it lives up to the hype and then some.
August 01 · R IThis is such a great place in the WV, honestly sometimes it feels so hard to find a place that isn’t geared to tourists or sort of a bland palette. This restaurant is way more chic and interesting that most of the restaurants in the area while also serving approachable food. This will be my new go-to when I have something to do in the neighborhood. Not to mention the service was really great and the vibe of the space is just right. I must say it sometimes is lame to order the bread and butter but it is really spectacular!
August 11 · mike gasperPerfect neighborhood spot. Chicken liver pate was so smooth and pairs well with pickled cherries. The glaze on the pork chop was so delicious my husband kept scraping it into his mouth from the empty plate 😬
August 09 · Xiaowei WangWe stopped by Noortwyck for dinner and had a great experience! We shared all plates and had 0 complaints. To eat, we had the char siu duck, fluke crudo, green asparagus, beef Wellington and bucatini. Each plate had amazing flavors and we can’t recommend this place enough! Would come back here.
May 25 · Jessica SloanI went there for Sunday brunch. The goal was to try their burger, but it turned out to be less tasty than I expected, so I was a bit disappointed. However, the scone and cinnamon roll I had with it were absolutely fantastic. The French toast, with its crispy outside and soft inside, was also really impressive. Compared to some of the super famous spots, the prices here are relatively affordable, and the pastries and toast available for brunch were incredibly delicious. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a good brunch.
