Touba Restaurant Reviews
jollof ricesenegalese cuisineyassaatmosphereseasoned
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Restaurant located in Newark NJ. Plenty of food. Their chicken Yassa is amazing. Had lunch and subsequently ordered dinner. Truly worth the price.I'm revisiting my review by downgrading their service for 2 reasons:1. You DO NOT increase your prices without prior notice to your customers. Neither on their menu nor on their site, there was question of increasing their price from $20 to $25. That's a whopping 25% increase. When they want to add a $5 delivery price on their service, they should give advance notice. Prices are increasing everyday, but businesses take the time to inform their customers ahead of time. But I put a phone order of $20 as I usually do, then 5mn later the lady called me back and said there is now a $5 increase on the price for delivery cost. And when I asked since when, she said that's coming from the boss. Mind you that ordering through Uber comes cheaper than that.2. The Yassa came with more oil than anything else. I'm attaching the picture for you to see. I resorted to actually empty a lot of it to be able to use it. That's not healthy3. I came one night around 9:30PM to get some food and guess what: they had no rice for an African restaurant. It's like having no chicken in an American restaurant. That was the second time they ran out of rice, and they never even offered to get rice from the nearby. Unthinkable. so both times, I left empty handed. So at the end of the day, the food might have more value than the service
January 29 · Tahir FayeVery good food, the jollof rice with the lamb was very good and the atmosphere was amazing.
March 28 · Amaar SuhailThey always gives left over food! Whenever I ordered and I am able to tell because I am Senegalese my self and I know what left over jlllof rice taste like!
September 21 · Eva WadeI'm funny about fish I only eat salmon or red snapper..... But one day I tried their baked tilapia it was the best tasting fish I ever had in my entire life. It was moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside let's not forget about the seasoning which was perfection. This place is definitely a hidden gem 🩵🩵👍🏾👍🏾💯💯
April 04 · Cassandra JetterOne of the best jollof rice dishes I've had in a while, not too spicy and well seasoned
