WOW bao Introduce
For New Jersey residents and visitors in the Bergen County area, finding a convenient and quick option for Asian cuisine is always a priority. Located right in Edgewater, WOW Bao presents itself as a specialized option focusing on popular street-food style items, primarily steamed bao and savory bowls. While the landscape of local dining is rich with diverse offerings, this establishment aims to cater to the need for speedy, casual, and accessible Asian-inspired food, perfect for a quick lunch, an easy dinner, or a convenient delivery order after a busy day.
WOW Bao is designed around a focused menu, which generally includes signature steamed bao (a soft, sweet dough filled with various Asian fillings like BBQ pork, spicy beef, or chicken), potstickers, dumplings, and rice bowls featuring proteins like Teriyaki Chicken or Spicy Kung Pao Chicken. This structure emphasizes efficiency and quick preparation, catering to customers looking for a reliable, fast-casual dining experience. It's important for local users to note that WOW Bao utilizes a business model often referred to as a "ghost kitchen" or "virtual brand." This means the food is prepared for delivery and takeout, and sometimes limited dine-in, out of the kitchen of an existing restaurant, which in many cases across the country, may be a place like Ruby Tuesday. This arrangement is a modern trend that allows brands to expand their reach for delivery services without the overhead of a traditional standalone restaurant building. For users considering an order, understanding this model is key to setting expectations for the dining environment and overall setup.
In terms of dining goals, the menu is clearly set up for satisfying an immediate craving for flavorful Asian dishes without the commitment of a full-service, sit-down experience. With choices ranging from single bao to large family bundles of potstickers and dumplings, it provides flexibility for solo diners, couples, or small groups needing a quick, on-the-go meal.
Location and Accessibility
The WOW Bao location is situated at a readily accessible address in Edgewater, New Jersey. The precise location is: 725 River Rd, Edgewater, NJ 07020, USA. This River Road address places it in a highly trafficked area of Bergen County, close to major shopping and residential zones, making it an easy stop for those driving through the area or living nearby. The establishment’s positioning is clearly geared toward maximum customer convenience, particularly for those utilizing vehicle transport.
Crucially for all patrons, the location demonstrates a commitment to accessibility, offering features that accommodate a wide range of needs. This is a significant consideration for residents in New Jersey prioritizing inclusive dining and service options. This includes a wheelchair accessible entrance, a dedicated wheelchair accessible parking lot, and a wheelchair accessible restroom, ensuring that the services can be comfortably accessed by individuals with mobility requirements.

Features / Highlights
The core offerings and operational style of the Edgewater location highlight specific elements designed to appeal to the local New Jersey market:

What is Worth Choosing
Choosing WOW Bao in Edgewater, NJ, is primarily a choice for speed, convenience, and a specific style of Asian food. For residents looking for traditional, authentic, sit-down Asian dining, this may not be the optimal fit. However, if your needs align with the following points, it offers a valuable service:
Firstly, it is an excellent option for a quick, efficient meal during the workday or on a busy evening. The focus on easy-to-eat items like bao and bowls makes it ideal for a desk lunch or a fast dinner at home. The menu, with items such as Teriyaki Chicken and Spicy Kung Pao Bowls, potstickers, and egg rolls, is tailored for widespread appeal and quick consumption.
Secondly, the reliance on delivery and takeout is a significant selling point. Living in New Jersey often means relying on convenient delivery, and WOW Bao excels in providing this service model. The ghost kitchen concept, while non-traditional, is designed specifically to optimize the process of preparing and delivering food efficiently to a wider local radius.
Thirdly, the availability of both healthy options and small plates offers versatility. Whether you need a full meal or just a light snack to hold you over, the menu accommodates both. The casual atmosphere is also suitable for an extremely relaxed, no-frills dining outing.
However, potential patrons should be fully aware of the nature of the establishment. Customer feedback, such as the provided reviews, highlights potential concerns regarding portion size, pricing, and the ghost kitchen nature of the business (i.e., operating out of a different brand's kitchen, such as Ruby Tuesday). These reviews suggest that some users have found the value proposition of the products, particularly in terms of size relative to price, to be unsatisfactory and have questioned the quality assurance processes. New Jersey diners who value generous portions, low prices, or a traditional, dedicated restaurant atmosphere should approach their first order with an awareness of these reported customer experiences. It is always prudent to cross-reference multiple recent customer reviews on third-party platforms for the Edgewater location to make the most informed decision before placing an order.
Ultimately, WOW Bao in Edgewater is a modern solution for Asian-inspired quick bites, heavily favoring the speed and simplicity of the delivery/takeout experience for the busy New Jersey consumer.

bao buns
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- SOOO bad and overpriced. I got two tiny, soggy bao and steamed..but somehow greasy dumplings for 13.00. Absolutely a ripoff when there are much better places in the area. Also, WOW Bao is just Ruby Tuesdays. Would you ever sit down at Ruby Tuesdays and order Bao buns? There is your answer when considering an order from not-so WOW Bao. November 19 · Amanda Z
- Spent like 27 bucks on two orders of chicken and rice. It took forever to come (Uber Eats) and the portions were ASTONISHINGLY small (like a small takeout side container for an order of fried chicken with rice and and order of teriyaki chicken with rice). Will not order again. October 12 · Christopher Bryk
- Placed an order online only to get half of it delivered. I tried to call them but there was no answer whatsoever. I ordered a Bowl & Bao Buns and just got Bao Buns. They were hard as a rock, inedible and GLUED to the paper lining. Couldn’t even peel them off. I had to throw entire order in the garbage. Went to their website to try and find a better contact only to realize their whole shpeal is just a scam, a gimmick. Not even real. They have frozen food products and microwave and send to you. No wonder the food was hard as a rock and inedible. Also solid confirmation when nobody answered their phones. Save your money. Save your time. Save your effort. This place is a scam. Overpriced for sure for frozen microwaved food. April 09 · C (Nobody)
- Thank goodness I looked at the reviews prior to ordering from UberEats. Awful as they say. October 26 · Yong H. Kwon
