灶门签 Zao Men Qian Hot Pot Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For New Yorkers who consider hot pot an essential dining experience,
灶门签 Zao Men Qian Hot Pot
offers a unique and highly value-driven twist on this classic Chinese communal meal. Located in the bustling heart of Flushing, Queens, this restaurant specializes in two of China's most popular comfort food trends: Skewer Hot Pot (also known as Chuan Chuan Xiang) and Malatang (Spicy Numbing Hot Pot). It’s a concept that deeply resonates with local diners, offering an exceptional level of customization and affordability.Unlike traditional hot pot where plates of ingredients are ordered, Zao Men Qian embraces the skewer format. This system allows patrons to select precisely what they want from a wide array of fresh ingredients—meats, vegetables, and specialty items—which are conveniently presented on individual skewers and priced accordingly. The excitement of filling your basket with exactly the right mix of Spicy Beef Handle, Coriander Beef, Shrimp, and Lotus Root is a major part of the experience.
Customer reviews highlight the incredible value proposition, with one local confirming the surprisingly low price per skewer and noting that they "don’t skimp—each skewer comes with a whole chunk of meat." This commitment to generous portions at a competitive price point has earned Zao Men Qian a loyal following among New Yorkers in search of authentic flavors and an unbeatable deal. Beyond the skewers, the restaurant also features large Malatang bowls, Deep-Fried Skewers, and customizable soup bases like the Classic Mandarin Pot and the fiery Supreme Butter Red Soup Pot, ensuring a flavorful and authentic experience for all spice levels.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Stumbled upon this amazing skewer hotpot place in Flushing, and I’m honestly blown away by the value and flavor. This isn’t a trendy new place—it’s a long-standing local favorite with a loyal following, and now I know why! The price is unbeatable: just $0.30 per skewer 😱 That’s not a typo! And they don’t skimp—each skewer comes with a whole chunk of meat, not those tiny bits stuck on two sticks like some places try to get away with.
May 25 · JiaXin YUHere you pick exactly what you want from an extensive selection in the fridge, and they charge you based on your choices. A great way to customize your meal without waste.I opted for both the spicy and tomato soup bases, which were flavorful and hearty. The ability to choose your own ingredients adds a fun, personalized touch to the meal. The quality of the food was top-notch, with a wide variety of fresh vegetables, meats, and other hot pot staples. If you’re a hot pot enthusiast looking to try something a little different, Zao Men Qian is definitely worth a visit.
October 16 · Bella LuI was excited to try 灶门签 (Zao Men Qian) Hot Pot, but it didn’t live up to expectations. While the ingredients were decent, the broth lacked depth, What really surprised me was that they even charge extra for the dipping sauce, which feels unnecessary given it is not a buffet hot pot.Overall, the experience didn’t justify the cost. There are better hot pot options with more flavorful broths and better value. Probably won’t be returning.
February 15 · CCMe and my family used to come here very often… we like the food here and the price is so convenient. It is always delicious..My last visit was yesterday dec 26th night time before closed .the food is very good as usual but we a feel very unhappy and uncomfortable with the service. We pay our bill with credit card, the server told me, I’m gonna bring it to the front to swipe your card. I said okay. I am expecting to tip in cash( I never tip on card). The server come back with 20%tip charged in my card and sign on behalf of me, handed the receipt to me without mentioning anything. This is totally unacceptable. I usually didn’t look at the receipt and just left the tips on the table, but before we leave, we saw there’s a sign on the receipt, out of curiosity, I look at the receipt then only I realized 20% tips was added(server didn’t even told me). Do u think, if I leave my cash tip on the table, will he return to me? I have no idea…Who give you the right to charged me 20% tips without me agree and sign on my behalf… I can simply dispute the transaction, but I didn’t. I am not making a scene there, I just hope boss to aware of this and hope this will never happen again…I feel very unhappy at this… not sure if I’m gonna be back again.the food is good, but I feel being scam… unacceptable.
December 27 · M GThis spot is a must-visit for hotpot lovers, offering mouth-watering skewers for just 30 cents each – seriously, the best deal in town! 😍Their rich, flavorful broth is the perfect base for perfectly spiced skewers that you handpick from the fridge. And beyond hotpot, they offer a selection of delicious small bites and refreshing drinks. 🌟🍢Next time you’re in Flushing, don’t miss out on this gem.Follow @spinx17 for more NYC food recs!
