What is Worth Choosing
When you stop at ZZ's Pizza and Bar at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal, the best choice is always dictated by the context: the need for a fast, filling, and genuinely New York-style snack or meal. What is worth choosing here are the items that deliver on speed and distinct flavor, ensuring you get the most out of your brief stop.
The absolute must-try choice is the Sicilian-style slice. The fact that customers specifically call out the "amazing" and "light & crispy" crust suggests that this is where the kitchen's quality truly shines. Opt for a specialty Sicilian slice, such as the spinach & mushroom, for a more layered flavor experience than a plain slice. The thick yet airy crust holds up well for eating while walking or waiting, a critical feature for a ferry terminal stop.
For those needing a more complete meal, consider adding one of the Italian Rolls or Stuffed Pizza items. These options, like the Stromboli or Chicken Roll, are easy to carry and offer a higher protein-and-carb content for fueling up after a long day of work or exploration in Manhattan.
Finally, choose ZZ's for its unparalleled convenience. It is the perfect place to grab a satisfying slice of pizza—a foundational element of the New York food experience—without even having to leave the terminal, proving that in a city defined by movement, the best things are sometimes right on your path.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Since COVID, many of the food service businesses in the Staten Island Ferry Terminal have closed but ZZ’s Pizza has survived.I dropped in today to get a slice to-go. I went for one of their Sicilian-style slices: spinach & mushroom, with a thin layer of sauce & cheese. Crust was amazing. Light & crispy.
May 21 · Francine LauraThis pizza place is at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal and its in a very busy place especially in the summer when we were there. We stopped here for a pizza slice while waiting for the Ferry and its ok. .The service is good. The pizza is ok.. nothing compared to New York pizzas.
May 25 · Topher EllisTastes like cardboard, sauce is fine cheese is not great
August 07 · Zachary BabkowThey almost doubled the price for a slice and they started using less cheese and lower quility flour. The pizza taste awful now. I was a regular customer because I work in the area, but the pizza no longer edible. Just a tourist trap now. I don’t understand why so many businesses aren’t interested in giving customers an experience worth coming back for. I will be surprised if they are still in business two or three years from now.
January 19 · Phillip WilliamsI ate a slice of pizza and soda. The pizza was delicious and atmosphere was nice and just needed more variety of food selection like pasta dishes and meat selections. I recommended this pizzeria to a friend.
