Bar Veloce Introduce
Bar Veloce is an establishment located in Queens, New York, with a business model tailored to the specific context of an airport terminal. As a bar, it aims to provide a convenient space for travelers to get a drink and a bite to eat while waiting for a flight. The provided information highlights that the venue is intended to offer "fast service" in a "casual" atmosphere. The menu, as detailed in the available public data, includes a variety of beverages and food items designed to serve the needs of a transient clientele. These offerings range from breakfast items for early flights to a selection of cocktails and beer for those looking to unwind. However, based on the provided customer feedback, the experience at this specific location has been met with significant and highly critical commentary. One customer described a drink received as "abominable" and "the worst I've ever had," pointing to what they perceived as poor preparation and service that was not in line with the "fast" highlight. Another review detailed a situation involving overcharging and what was described as unprofessional conduct by a staff member. This feedback provides a key counterpoint to the stated highlights and is an important consideration for any prospective customer. While the venue has a specific purpose to serve travelers, the customer experience, as reported in the provided reviews, is a major factor in understanding what to expect from a visit to this location.
The strategic placement of a bar within a terminal is designed to offer a form of relief and a brief escape from the stresses of air travel. The menu and offerings at Bar Veloce, including a variety of food, alcohol, and cocktails, are clearly designed to meet these needs. The atmosphere is described as casual, which aligns with the typical environment of an airport setting, where patrons are often seeking a relaxed spot before their journey. Despite the stated highlight of fast service, the customer reviews provide a starkly different narrative, with one customer stating they had to wait over 15 minutes to close out their check despite the bar not being busy. This discrepancy between the stated goal and the reported reality is a crucial piece of factual information. For those traveling through the terminal, Bar Veloce represents a place with a clear purpose and a menu of standard bar offerings. However, a full understanding of the business requires acknowledging the detailed feedback from customers who have reported highly negative experiences related to the quality of service and the professional conduct of the staff. This contextual information is essential for anyone considering a visit and helps to create a comprehensive and factual profile of the establishment.
Bar Veloce is located at 76 Central Terminal Dr, Queens, NY 11371, USA. This address places the bar within a terminal at LaGuardia Airport (LGA), a major transportation hub in New York City. The location is highly specific, serving travelers who are either arriving, departing, or in transit. Given its placement within a commercial terminal, its accessibility is determined by the airport’s infrastructure. However, the provided information does not include specific details regarding wheelchair accessibility beyond its presence within a public airport facility. The bar's location makes it a practical spot for travelers seeking refreshments before or after their flights. Its primary purpose is to be a convenient amenity for passengers, providing a place to pass the time in a casual setting while waiting to board.
Based on the provided information, Bar Veloce offers a single service option for its patrons:
Dine-in: This is the only service option listed for the bar, which is consistent with its location inside an airport terminal. This means patrons can take a seat at the bar or a table to order from the menu and enjoy their food and drinks on the premises. The business model is focused on serving customers who are physically present within the terminal, and it does not offer takeout, curbside pickup, or delivery services.
The provided information outlines several features and highlights of Bar Veloce. While these are presented as key selling points, it is important to cross-reference them with available customer feedback for a complete and factual understanding of the business. The key features include:
Offerings: The bar’s menu is extensive, providing a range of options for different preferences. The menu includes a variety of breakfast items such as "Crushed Avocado Toast" and a "Loaded Breakfast Sandwich," making it suitable for morning travelers. It also offers a selection of appetizers, salads, and other food items like "Prosciutto" and "Margherita." For beverages, there is a list of cocktails, including a "Blue Cheese Grey Goose Martini" and a "Maple Old Fashioned." The beer selection includes both bottles and drafts, with common brands such as "Corona Extra" and "Bud Light" available, as well as seltzers and ciders. This wide variety of food and drinks is intended to cater to diverse customer tastes.
Atmosphere and Amenities: The atmosphere is described as "casual," which aligns with a low-key, comfortable setting for travelers. The only amenity listed is the presence of a restroom, which is a standard and essential feature for any establishment.
Intended Fast Service: A key highlight listed for Bar Veloce is "Fast service." However, this claim is directly and severely contradicted by the provided customer reviews. One customer noted a wait of over 15 minutes to receive a check, and another detailed a situation where the bartender's unprofessional conduct caused a delay and a billing issue. Based on this information, the stated highlight of fast service may not be consistently delivered in practice.

When considering Bar Veloce for a visit, a potential customer should base their decision on a factual understanding of the business as it operates within its unique environment. As an airport bar, its primary purpose is to provide a place for travelers to get a drink and food while waiting for a flight. The menu is diverse, offering a range of breakfast items, salads, and bar food, along with a wide selection of cocktails, beer, and wine. This variety of offerings is a major reason why one might choose to visit. However, it is crucial to temper expectations based on the detailed customer feedback provided. The reviews report significant issues with the quality of drinks, poor service, and what was described as unprofessional staff conduct. One customer's experience with a drink they considered "abominable" and overpriced at $25, and another's experience with an overzealous bartender, serve as important warnings. The provided information about a staff member's history of being a "bully" and harassing a colleague is a severe piece of feedback that speaks to a potentially volatile work environment. In conclusion, while Bar Veloce provides the essential function of an airport bar with a varied menu, potential visitors should be aware of the serious service issues that have been reported. A visit to this establishment is a choice of convenience, but the available customer feedback suggests that the quality of service and the drink may fall short of expectations, and the experience may be less than ideal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The Hot Honey Old Fashioned I just had at 9 am 9/5/25 was the worst I've ever had. The bartender free poured every ingredient into the tin(no speed pour, no jigger), barely stirred it and it tasted accordingly... horrible. I also asked to close out as my drink hit the coaster and didn't receive the POS until over 15 minutes later, even though he only had 3 other customers. My standards for a drink at an airport are low but this was abominable ESPECIALLY for $25. I manage a bar in Manhattan and this place was Bar Rescue worthy 🤢
September 05 · Madison McMakinVisited on 5/2 at 6pm. Flight was at 9:30 so ordered dinner and a bottle of wine. Incredulously, at 6:30, the male bartender poured remaining 3/4 bottle into my glass and asked me to closeout because his shift was ending. I had prepaid and tipped already on the bar code app on my phone. Bartender manually billed me a 2nd time and I had to reverse CC charges. After he left, remaining female bartender went on and on about how this guy was a bully and harassed her so much she had reported him and he was written up for harassment. This guy needs to be fired.
May 09 · David FranklinThe bartender was talking to someone using her EarPods and didn’t interact with anyone other than taking orders. She was rude and didn’t try to be nice to anyone. Just talked in Spanish to someone else. She could have made more money and done better business if she tried to interact with customers or at least try and act nice.
September 02 · Hank ToddFirst, the table was dirty. I had to clean up my table.Second, i had to stand up and walk to the bar for my beers. It seems to be easier for the waitress bartender.Third, they automatically charged me 20% on tips. And 4th and last, workers has that attitude because it doesn't matter how bad they do, they still getting the 20%.
May 10 · Rodrigo SalasSat down, ordered drinks, and waited. And waited. And waited. The wait time for 2 drinks was ridiculous. When a gentleman sat and got served immediately we inquired if they even had our drinks and got attitude.Ordered the old fashioned for the bacon, but no bacon when it arrived. The negroni likewise was poorly balanced which should be impossible.3 people working and a 20 minute wait on 2 drinks.
