Came here with my mom and my sister on a Sunday afternoon. I had been craving a tapas place for some time now. There was no wait and we were seated by the window. Our server was very nice and attentive. We started with the octopus, potatoes, and the fried eggplant. Delicious! We also had a pitcher of the white sangria, which was nice and refreshing. We then shared the surf and turf paella for two which we didn’t even finish because we were stuffed. The flavor of that paella was just amazing. Just thinking about it now makes my mouth water. I may have to convince hubby to go there tonight 😅.Oh and yes, we were somehow convinced to have dessert. Those churros with chocolate sauce… scrumptious!

Basque Tapas Bar Tarrytown delivers an impressive slice of Spanish cuisine in Tarrytown. It’s particularly strong on tapas and beverages—especially for groups or date nights. While the paella occasionally misses a perfect socarrat crust, it remains delicious and fills you up. If tapas-first dining is your style, this spot rarely disappoints. Just plan ahead, arrive early, or make a reservation if you’re with a larger group.

Awesome tapas place in Tarrytown. Went on a Saturday night and managed to snag 2 seats at the bar. Super attentive service. The spicy filet tips are an absolute must. Sangria is perfect. They have another location in Piermont that's right on the water and equally good.

FREAKING AMAZING!!!!! Tons of seafood in the paella. We were seated quickly. Service was fast. Came here with a group of friends that live in the area and I appreciate their recommendation! ALL COURSE WERE GREAT! I would recommend ordering a smaller paella if you order appetizers, as it was 4 of us and we had TONS of food leftover. Other than that, I would HIGHLY recommend this spot!

Wish I could give 3.5 stars. The place is not bad. We sat at the bar. The barman was attentive enough but nothing special. We had several small dishes and shared along with drinks after a long day enjoying the spooky season around late October.It was busy by 4p and got more so. The food is OK but really nothing special. The fried fritters are tasty. The drinks are decent but the sangria was a bit too watered.Overall, in a pinch I could return. I don't regret the visit. But, given I was hungry and it still didn't particularly standout (plus the cost) a few tappas and drinks plus tip and tax and you're well north of $100... I might try other spots on this strip first.
