What is worth choosing
For New York locals seeking a reliable, high-energy, and versatile bar and restaurant, Berry Park is an obvious and excellent choice. It’s worth choosing for a multitude of compelling reasons that address key needs of the urban socialite.
The standout feature is the truly *multipurpose space*. Berry Park is not just one bar; it’s a dynamic, two-in-one venue. The downstairs area functions as a robust, classic sports bar, making it the undisputed go-to spot for watching major games, particularly soccer, with an infectious, enthusiastic crowd. Conversely, the upstairs rooftop is an absolute gem for casual, trendy outings. Being one of the largest and most accommodating rooftops in the area, offering year-round access with heat and cover, it provides that coveted Manhattan skyline view without the stuffiness often associated with high-end city rooftops. This flexibility means Berry Park is the perfect choice whether you’re looking for a casual afternoon drink or a lively, scenic night out.
Furthermore, the establishment excels in its *offerings and value*. The menu, a solid mix of German and American pub fare, is both satisfying and reasonably priced, with generous portions. Dishes like the Grass-Fed Beef Burger or the Fish & Chips are reliable comfort classics, while the Bratwurst & Fries offer a nod to its beer garden roots. This is all complemented by a highly-regarded, diverse beer selection and an impressive cocktail list. Add in the appealing Happy Hour for both food and drinks, and Berry Park proves itself to be an economical option for the quality of the experience and the premium location.
Finally, the bar’s emphasis on *accessibility and group accommodation* is a major win for New Yorkers. The ability to accept reservations for groups, combined with the sheer size of the venue, means you can confidently plan a gathering without the usual stress of finding space. Its commitment to accessibility, including an elevator to the rooftop and ADA-compliant restrooms, ensures that all members of your group can join in on the fun, cementing Berry Park’s status as a quintessential, welcoming, and vibrant Williamsburg cornerstone.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Berry Park is an expansive, lively spot with both a spacious downstairs area and a stunning rooftop. Downstairs feels like a classic sports bar, while the rooftop offers a vibrant, scenic atmosphere with great music. The food is solid, with generous portions that won't disappoint. Whether you're there for a game or just to soak up the rooftop vibes, the energy here is always on point!
June 04 · Jamie LGreat spot and very accommodating. I've been a couple times. The upstairs has a DJ and the downstairs is more of a bar scene. I've ordered apps and the food is good, nothing to rave about. The staff is really nice and accommodating. They have a nice rooftop for the warmer weather too.
January 14 · Jocelyn LeeThe perfect summer rooftop day drinking escape right off of mccaren park with some nice views of the manhattan skyline. The space upstairs is great but forewarning that it can get hellaaaaaa crowded like around 5pm that rooftop was so condensed I was honestly impressed by how many people fit up there. This was my first time seeing spritzes cost more than the cocktail menu but nevertheless I got a hugo spritz and it was so refreshing I loved it.
July 18 · Patrick ZajacGreat drinks- amazing vibes. Lots of space to mingle. Staff really friendly!
August 30 · Amanda HahnMy visit to Berry Park did not really impress by any means. They have a nice first floor with a main bar and seating all around with big screens that were playing a soccer match for fans to enjoy. They were also serving food which mainly seemed like a pub-style menu. The rooftop was small and packed with so many people that there was barely room to stand. And if you wanted a drink, forget about it because there was no way you were reaching the bar in that sea full of people. There is also no view at all. This rooftop is covered by taller buildings, so the only thing you can really see are the streets down below. What really left a bad taste in my mouth was the security guard standing at the front door. He left me and my friend with rude comments and was telling us to spend more money in there (as if he knew what we did or did not order inside). He also told us that the bathroom was for customers only as if we had spent 5 minutes in there and left. Sir, we were there for an hour and we did not even use the bathroom lol.Honestly this place is mediocre at best and there are so many better places around it such as Westlight, Water Tower, and Bar Blondeau.3/5 stars.
