★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Be sure to check out @betong before it closes on December 27th inside Canal Street market. Although I didn’t like it, everyone should just try it once to see whether or not they like it. Everyone has different taste buds and likes. I didn’t like it because it was way too greasy and sugary. I didn’t like its taste. Everything was way too oily and greasy from the bun to the rice platter. It was also too sugary as well. The portion size was good, and it fills you up. This place was also over priced, my entire meal was $20. I expected more from this place. There are places to seat inside the market place. My food also came out at a medium pace. Out of everything, I liked the Thai iced tea the most.Price: $21.39 💸Rating: 5/10
December 20 · Tasnia ShahThe chicken was tender, but the rice had a little flavor. The price is expensive in comparison to the quantity. Thai tea is unable to made less sweet. I was quite dissatisfied with the taste. It lacks the distinct flavor of Thai cuisine. One positive aspect is the excellent service!
August 11 · Namkwann (NK)Omggg if I could give this place 10 stars I would. We stumbled in here after going to the Banksy Museum and the smell as soon as you walk in is amazing!! It’s towards the back on the right side. The service was gentle and accommodating. The food was beyond mouthwatering!!!! They were so friendly and let us sit right up front to eat comfortably. I had the #5 (chicken tom yum noodle with chicken bun) and my partner had #6 (salmon curry middle with chicken bun) my boyfriend devoured his food and left a nice tip! We also had Thai lemon iced tea which has a nice small kick to it I’m not sure what spice but it’s perfect. The noodles with the chicken are a little spicy but not too spicy. The broth for the salmon is creamy and a little thick. I would come back here a million times. The music, atmosphere, great food & service were unbeatable and affordable prices.
November 24 · Kiara ColonLoved this place! Staff was so welcoming and kind. So many options to choose from. We got the steamed chicken rice + soup, curry chicken, and chicken buns. Everything was so delicious and full of flavor. The ginger sauce that came with the steamed chicken was phenomenal. The perfect amount of spice. Their papaya salad was fresh and refreshing. My favorite dish was the curry chicken. 10/10 would recommend!
May 04 · Priscila PantosinFriendly service in the busy Canal Street Market. You can either order and pay at the kiosk (4% fee), or order at the counter and pay cash. Betong seemed to be busier than some of the other food vendors. It’s nice to be able to see into the food prep area as your meal is being made. The food looks as good as the pictures on the menu. There’s a bit of a wait as the food is prepared but it’s worth it. If you’re in a group, use the wait time to secure seating.
