When you visit BLOQUE, the choice is ultimately between the signature, handheld comfort of a Sangueche or the deeply satisfying experience of a full Plato (Platter). For first-timers, diving into the sandwich menu is highly recommended. The Chimi is a Dominican staple, a flavorful and distinct take on the classic burger that you won't find at a standard New York deli. The Chimi de Pernil stands out as a must-try, combining slow-roasted pork—a cornerstone of Dominican cooking—with traditional sandwich fixings, offering a perfect blend of juicy meat and fresh crunch.
If you're looking for a more substantial meal, any of the Platos will deliver. Patrons consistently praise the Carne Asada (grilled sirloin steak) and the Pernil (roast pork), both of which are served warm and fresh. These platters offer a complete, balanced meal, allowing you to pair your protein with traditional sides. Speaking of sides, don't miss out on the Maduros (sweet plantains) for a touch of sweetness or the Yuca Fries for a unique, starchy alternative to potato fries. The Arroz con Guandules is another classic side that transports you straight to the islands. And finally, be sure to request a generous serving of their famous green sauce; it’s repeatedly noted as the element that truly makes the food "impressively delicious" and is essential for the full BLOQUE experience. For a truly authentic beverage, try the Malta, a traditional malt beverage often enjoyed with Caribbean comfort food.
Whether you’re a Forest Hills local or just passing through Queens, BLOQUE offers an accessible and authentic journey into Dominican street food and cuisine, guaranteeing a comforting and flavorful bite every time.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1BLOQUE is a newly added sandwich food truck with adorable baby green color decor in the neighborhood. We placed our order via their platform, the system showed it could be picked up at 11:50am but the chef told us the first order should be ready at 12:15pm when we arrived. The chef felt so bad and we really appreciated that she tried to have our food ready as soon as she can. We got their Carne Asada and Pernil Platos both with salad only for lunch. It was served warm & fresh and the portion was okay with a reasonable price. The food was impressively delicious, especially the appetizing green sauce.
September 10 · Hsin Yi WeiThe food here has always been amazing, fresh and very reasonably priced. HOWEVER, I have to say, 2 out of the last three times I have ordered (within a period of 2 months or so), the quality has gone down. The first time I found a peace of parchment paper with something sticky inside it. I had been chewing on it when I took some cabbage salad. I almost threw up when I took it out and saw what it was. Second time, today, I found a peace of curly orange/brown hair mixed in with the salad again, already half in my mouth. I gave it that second chance and I cannot go back anymore. I do want to add, I also saw the tomatoes were 2 small ones (the ends of a tomato) and no green sauce, which I always you to get. Once I got home and opened the bag to eat, I realized there was no sauce and honestly without it the food is just not the same. Idk what changed. But you started out great and now, it’s just not.
September 18 · Andres HernandezCan we say impressed?! I wouldn't have expected to get such fresh and delicious sandwiches from this little cart on 71st Avenue. I found it right outside of the new Five Below.I placed an order via their website which gave me a pick-up time of 15 minutes...it was closer to 20, but so what. I was so excited and hungry to dig in, I forgot to get any pictures.Sandwiches are large and well worth the price, which I was surprised wasn't higher. The Cuban sandwich included the classic ingredients of roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese and pickles; served on a lovely pressed bread it was delicious and satisfying. It was the perfect ratio of ingredients. The Torta Pollo includes a crispy chicken, avocado, refried beans, poblano crema, jalapenos, cabbage and tomatoes. I don't think I've ever had such a crispy chicken cutlet, it was fabulous. Along with all the toppings it made for a wonderful spicy bite; really fabulous. Also added a side of yucca fries which were tender and lovely. As I said at the start I was really impressed and can't wait to try more of the menu.
November 04 · Krista ManciniEverything here was SO good. We tried the fried fish plate w Maduros, the pulled pork, and the chimi sandwich. My new go-to. The lady working was really nice too.
October 06 · Reika OThe shrimp with rice and peas was on point. Very tasty and a great value
