What truly sets BO's Bagels apart is their extensive menu and the sheer quality of their products. It is a place where every item, from the simplest bagel to the most complex sandwich, is crafted with care and an eye for flavor. A plain bagel is a testament to this, with a perfect texture that is chewy on the inside and has just the right amount of crispness on the outside. This foundational quality makes everything else on the menu shine. The variety of bagel flavors, from everything and sesame to the unique Black Russian and Za'atar, provides a base for endless delicious combinations.
The real highlight, however, is the array of specialty bagel sandwiches. The menu is packed with inventive and mouthwatering creations that go far beyond a standard breakfast sandwich. The "Andrew" is a fan favorite, combining the perfect mix of savory and sweet with egg, bacon, sausage, scallion cream cheese, and a drizzle of Vermont maple syrup on a sesame bagel. The "BO's Chopped Cheese" is another standout, bringing a classic New York deli staple to the bagel world. The "Uptown Vegan" is a thoughtful addition, providing a delicious and satisfying option for plant-based diners with hummus, avocado, and fresh veggies on a Za'atar bagel. The range of deli sandwiches, from Tuna Salad to White Fish Salad, also ensures that there's a perfect lunch option waiting for you.
BO's Bagels also excels in its beverage program. While they offer a wide selection of coffee and teas, customers frequently praise their robust cold brew and hot coffee, which are the ideal companions to a fresh bagel. The pastries, like the cinnamon bun and challah loaf, further round out the menu, demonstrating that their baking expertise extends beyond bagels. The availability of multiple vegan cream cheese options and a gluten-free biscuit shows their commitment to inclusivity and catering to a wide range of dietary needs. In a city saturated with bagel shops, BO's stands out by delivering a consistent, high-quality, and creative menu in a space that feels genuinely welcoming and dedicated to the community it serves. It's not just a quick stop; it's a place to find your new favorite meal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve become a regular here and often come after an overnight shift and I LOVE it. I agree with some of the other reviews that it’s a bit pricey, but the staff is super friendly and the flavor combos on their specialty sandwiches are delightful. At times, it can definitely be slow; they could benefit from having more staff—I hope they figure out their rush/busy times and they can staff accordingly (I understand it’s a new location within the last year, so patience for that is key to some of you non-neighborhoodies). However, I’m not going to knock a tasty bagel with nice people doing their jobs to give this neighborhood a go-to spot for a good breakfast. I appreciate the love that goes into the bagels and service here.
June 22 · Brad TrumpJust like the original location on 116th, this location doesn't disappoint. It's actually bigger, super bright and welcoming and the staff are just as great as the original location. Don't be fooled, the possibilities are endless and I highly recommend you check the menu first before you come in because there's just so many ways to make a good bagel. No matter what you choose, it's going to be good. Totally recommend the Andrew, Bo's El Barrio and the Bo's Chopped Cheese.
February 14 · ScottDelicious bagels. I have stood in lines for half an hour at other famous bagel places and have been disappointed for the effort it took. BO’s redeemed the reputation of NY bagels for me. Very kind service at the counter too. Look forward to being back. Keep it up folks.
July 11 · ABThis is definitely a bagel shop that Harlem needs, but the neighborhood deserves so much better. The quality of the bagels and sandwiches is there. The bagels are all well-coated in toppings, have a distinct and standalone “bagel” flavor, and offer a satisfyingly crusty shell to chew with every bite. The staff is super friendly and the store is clean and spacious, albeit without a unique aesthetic other than “black and white minimalist”. The menu is extensive and, at least for its soft-opening, offers many different items that make me say “oh, I need to come back for that!” before my order is even ready.I’ve been dying for a true bagel shop in the neighborhood ever since I moved here and I can confidently say I’ll be a regular at Bo’s. However, it will be out of convenience rather than genuine desire. The menu is incredibly overpriced by bagel shop standards. A BEC ran me $11. An everything bagel with plain CC and a black coffee was also $11. Plus, I’m 99% sure they use Philadelphia cream cheese as their base, judging by the Kraft-branded box out in the open on the counter. I can’t speak for how other bagel shops prepare their schmears but to know, outright, that I’m eating the same thing I could get at the grocery store, only now with a sprinkle of chives mixed in, makes me question not only the prices but their commitment to the craft.I support paying for a better product when you have the chance. And, when it comes to breakfast/bagel spots — with hundreds to choose from across the city — I take it seriously. While the bagels at Bo’s are really good, you can find similar (if not better) bagels just by throwing a dart at a map in New York. The bagels are a very average size, as well, so it’s not even a matter of ‘paying for more.’ On the BEC, you get three skinny strips of bacon that resemble what you get from Oscar Meyer.I am happy and significantly relieved to know I have a real bagel shop just 5 mins from my apartment. This place will make WFH days infinitely better, especially now that I have resigned my lease. I appreciate Bo’s Bagels opening this location, full stop. There are few things in life I love more than a bagel, some cream cheese, and a cuppa’ black coffee to start the day. But as the saying goes, sometimes love is not enough. And there is not enough at Bo’s to make me “love” it quite yet.
January 11 · Dan RosenOur favorite place to get bagels delivered. Nice and chewy and not too bread-like. Also appreciate the flavored tofu cream cheese!
