What is Worth Choosing
For anyone in New York, the Brooklyn Brew Cafe presents a compelling choice for several reasons. First and foremost, the coffee quality is exceptionally high, with their commitment to locally sourced, high-quality beans and expert baristas often earning them recognition as a neighborhood favorite. You are guaranteed a rich and full-bodied cup, whether you opt for a simple Drip Coffee ($4.75) or a strong Espresso ($4.00).
Second, the array of Specialty Lattes is what truly distinguishes this cafe from competitors. While the prices for specialty drinks, such as a Nutella Latte at $9.00 or a Biscoff Cookie Butter Latte (starting around $8.50), might be considered steep by some, customers consistently rave about the unique, delicious, and sometimes "milkshake-like" creamy quality of these creations. They are an indulgent treat, perfect for satisfying a sweet craving with a caffeine kick. Trying one of their signature, inventive lattes is definitely worth the splurge.
Third, the cafe's atmosphere is a significant draw. The owners are often on-site, offering a kind and hospitable service that contributes to a genuine, welcoming neighborhood feel. It’s an ideal environment for a relaxed solo dining experience or for setting up to get work done. Furthermore, for those seeking mindful dining options, the strong presence of comfort food alongside organic, vegan, and vegetarian offerings makes it a versatile choice. The former experience of the owner in selling delicious soups also means that their current Soup offerings (listed at $12.00 in some menus) are generally highly regarded and a comforting choice, especially when the weather cools.
In summary, if you are seeking a local, independent cafe in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, that delivers an award-winning coffee experience and an exciting menu of one-of-a-kind specialty lattes, the Brooklyn Brew Cafe should be at the top of your list. It’s a community-centric spot where a dedication to craftsmanship and hospitality come together beautifully.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The lattes are good. Expensive, but good. I got an entree too - $14 is steep for pesto toast but with the prices of things today, alright, fine. I got my meal - $14 for ONE SLICE of toast?? $14. For one piece of bread. Almost no greens. I opened my meal when I got home and was aghast. That’s about a $12 profit margin. One piece of bread?? I thought I’d treat myself - $25 for a latte and a sandwich. But this honestly felt more like an insult. The latte was good and I’d go back to try more, but I wouldn’t recommend buying the food here. For the biscoff cookie latte, I was surprised at how thick it was - it was borderline a milkshake, or at least an extremely creamy latte. Expensive at $8 for a medium and $9 for a large, but it was delicious regardless. I’ll prob come back to try their other drinks.
June 21 · RainBrooklyn Brew Cafe is one of this neighborhood’s best! I’ve been going to BBC for years now. My go-to is their cookie butter latte although I’m due to try one of their other many unique flavors (like the key lime pie latte!). Their coffee is delicious, the ambience is cozy. The owners are always there when I walk in and they’re very kind and hospitable. They’re a tried and true local business and I cannot recommend enough!
April 18 · Lena KAbsolutely fantastic. Come here every time I’m in the city. Got their avocado toast for the first time 2 years ago and have compared every one I’ve had to it since. For such a small neighborhood spot the time and dedication they put into their craft is top notch. 11/10 recommend every single time.
