What makes Burgers & Beer worth choosing, especially in a city with countless dining options, is its commitment to the core elements of a great meal. While some experiences may vary, the restaurant’s strengths lie in its specific offerings. The "Build Your Own" burger option is a key highlight, as it allows for a highly personalized and satisfying meal. For many, the ability to select the type of patty—such as Premium Black Angus—along with a wide range of toppings, is a major draw. One customer praised their custom creation for having a fresh bun, flavorful meat and cheese, and high-quality condiments, highlighting the attention to detail that the kitchen can provide. The onion rings were also noted for being cooked in "fresh/clean oil," a detail that speaks to a commitment to quality. The atmosphere is described as being mostly quiet, which can be a relief in a bustling city, allowing for a more intimate and enjoyable dining experience.
Beyond the burgers, the "Great beer selection" is a crucial part of the restaurant's identity. For many, the perfect pairing of a cold craft beer with a juicy burger is the ultimate comfort food experience, and Burgers & Beer excels at providing this. It’s also important to note the nuance in their beverage offerings, as one reviewer pointed out that the restaurant itself serves only beer, while cocktails and hard liquor come from a neighboring establishment under the same ownership. This distinction is helpful for guests to manage their expectations. While some patrons have had different experiences, finding the portions and value to be less than ideal, the overall proposition remains compelling. For someone seeking a casual, trendy spot with the flexibility to craft their own perfect meal and enjoy it with a great beer in a prime New York location, Burgers & Beer is an excellent choice. Its popularity for lunch, dinner, and solo dining confirms that it fills a valuable niche in the city's diverse dining scene.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I visited this place late at night and was happily surprised that they were still open. I ordered a custom burger - angus, bacon, vermont cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and garlic aioli. I also had onion rings on the side. This was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Everything from the bun to the meat and cheese, and even the condiments, were all so fresh. The onion rings were good too, and you can tell that they use fresh/ clean oil when frying. The owner/Manager was very kind, as well as the server. I will add that my drink came from next door (same owner) and that this restaurant does not serve liquor, only beer. If you're looking for a great, fresh burger in a mostly quiet setting, come here.
August 16 · Marcus Williams JrTried the “Build Your Own Burger” ($15) with Swiss cheese (+$2) and jalapeños (+$1.50) and the Truffle Fries ($10). The burger was pretty mid - patty was small and not very juicy or flavorful. Honestly, a burger from In-N-Out tastes much better. Especially for $18, thats theft. The truffle fries were pretty good, but it’s also a pretty small portion for $10. With tax and tip, you’re paying $30+ for a mid burger and fries…
June 01 · Andy LiuThis place is really cute and the food is phenomenal. I got the French Onion Soup Burger and a Black Duck Porter. The service was perfect - the gentleman (presumably the owner) gave us loads of great Jazz spot recommendations in the area. Very warm and welcoming environment - 10/10 coming back.
March 30 · Megin DoyleSuper cute spot! The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the fries were amazing. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely coming back!
April 15 · Kseniia NesterovaBurgers and Beer offers a delightful dining experience with their delicious burgers and diverse beer selection. The menu boasts a huge variety of juicy, tasty, and delicious burgers, and the option to customize your own burger adds an extra layer of excitement. The happy hour from 3 to 7 p.m. is a fantastic deal, with prices dropping to make it even more enjoyable. Burgers and Beer not only delivers on fantastic food and drinks but also sets the stage with its inviting atmosphere. The loft-style interior exudes a trendy vibe, complemented by good lighting that enhances the dining experience. The cool brick walls add character and charm, making it a perfect spot to unwind and indulge in their delicious offerings. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with both warmth and style, making every visit memorable. I highly recommend Burgers and Beer for a satisfying meal and great atmosphere.
