The array of options ensures that there is something satisfying for every appetite, whether you're craving a classic burger or a hearty sandwich.
The star of the show is undeniably the Burgers selection. The signature Hausburger ($8.00) is the essential starting point for new visitors. For those seeking a larger, more substantial meal, the Bighaus ($11.50) offers a significant step up in size and satisfaction. Unique and savory options also grace the burger menu, including the Cheesesteak ($12.25) and the highly-praised, unique Chopped Cheese ($13.00), which one customer specifically noted as being "really good," making it a strong recommendation. For vegetarians, the Green Haus ($8.00) provides a flavorful meat-free burger choice.
The Sandwiches section is also compelling. The classic Crispy Chicken ($7.00) and Grilled Chicken ($7.50) offer lighter protein alternatives. For a New Jersey classic with a twist, consider the Chicken cheesesteak ($13.00), or for a spicy kick, the Buffalo Crispy ($8.00). These sandwiches offer great variety and are excellent for a quick, filling lunch.
No fast-food meal is complete without the perfect accompaniment from the Sides menu. The traditional Fries ($3.75) are a staple, but locals should also consider the Sweet Potato Fries ($4.00), which received a glowing review for being "perfect." The Cheese Fries ($4.25) and savory Onion Rings ($4.00) are classic indulgences. Be sure to add a side of their distinctive Haus Sauce ($0.75) to enhance any item. Finally, for a sweet treat to cap off the meal, the creamy, satisfying Haus Shake ($7.00) from the Drinks menu is a must-try dessert item.
While customer feedback is generally positive, highlighting friendly staff and an inviting atmosphere, it is worth noting the consistent advice to dine in. One detailed review mentioned potential quality degradation during a long 45-minute drive, specifically regarding the bun's texture and the crunchiness of the fries. The reviewer's determination to return and certainly dine in next time serves as a strong, factual endorsement for experiencing the food fresh on-site. Ultimately, choosing BURGERSTRASSE is choosing a local, community-focused American eatery with a wide, appealing menu, exceptional accessibility, and a dedicated, friendly team ready to serve the New Jersey community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had the chop cheese, and it was really good. The sweet potato fries were perfect. The service was really great. Very friendly and inviting. While I was there, you can tell that they had returning customers. That's always a good sign. I'm definitely going back to have their burger.
July 12 · Nelson BerroaI hated to write this review. I really wanted to like this place, but was sadly disappointed. I was craving a burger and was in the area. At first call to check if it was busy, the person on the other end seemed rude. But I decided to check it out anyway, as the ratings were good. I'm glad I did. The place is small, but somehow inviting. The white and black color palate of the walls were nice. Simple and impactful with picnic bench styled seating. A customer suggested their double hausburger. But, I kept it basic. Ordered a single patty, the hausburger, a side of fries, and a drink ($14).I drove home for a good 45 mins, so I'm not sure if that affected the burger itself. But at first bite, it was nothing special. Not outstandingly juicy or flavorful. What I disliked the most was the burned buns. Overly toasted, so it added a very bitter taste. The fries were so greasy and lacked crunch. Just too soggy. (But again my drive was a bit long). Probably old frying grease too. Can't put my finger on it.I'd rate here a 3.6. I think there's potential . Surely everyone isn't wrong. I'll certainly dine in next time. Staff were friendly and even other customers were friendly. Again, the place felt inviting, which is why I'd return to give it another try.
November 10 · Starlica ReinéExcellent juicy burger. Good char, smash burger, toasted bun, well seasoned, Haus sauce and amazing crispy onion rings on the side. I'll be back soon to try some other items. Tried my buddy's sweet potato fries, were good too, just needed more salt. Staff made great recommendations.
August 10 · james luskiI was looking for a burger joint that wasn't a big chain restaurant while passing through Clifton, and the Google search engine returned this place. Here is my overall review.Decor:The front of the restaurant had regular tables and chairs or high tables and chair. The table tops and seat bottom were lacquered wood (or wood-like, but solid) supported by metal legs. From here, you could see the food prep station and the cooking area. Towards the back, there is a rest room and a rear prep area (no door hiding it). I don't think it's a great idea to see the rear prep area while going to the rest room, since there is no "action" in the rear prep area, but that is my personal opinion. If you never needed to use the rest room, you won't notice it. White side walls with tiles adorned the front eating area. The overall decor did remind me of other mom and pop restaurants that seemed to be following a design trend, so it doesn't "stand out," but nothing I would count against this place.Lastly, the place was clean and tidy, even the rest room. There is non-metered street side parking, but because there are other stores along the block, I wasn't sure if there would be enough parking if this place was packed.Food:I ordered a hausburger and vanilla milkshake. The hausburger had fresh lettuce and tomato. The burger bun was clean and soft, It wasn't toasted or heated from what I can tell. The burger patty was fresh ground beef and juicy. When you bite into it, it falls apart a little, so this wasn't the "manufactured" patties you get at the big chain burger places. However, I didn't taste much seasoning in the burger itself. The milkshake was excellent. It was properly blended and hydrated, so I did not hit any "ice cream" parts that would block my straw. Every sip of the shake went through my straw.Value:This place follows a trend where the burger, sides, and drink are sold separately. Other places might sell burger and fries, but the price will reflect both items. As of this writing, the hausburger was $7.50 and the milkshake was $8.Given inflation and the size of this place, the price was OK, but compared to other mom and pop burger joints I have frequented, I felt the burger was "small" for their prices. The milkshake price is acceptable. Conclusion:This place is a solid 4. I can't give it a 5, because the burger space is crowded, and I have eaten at some other mom and pop shops in my time that offer a bit more value for the money, have a bit more to the decor, or have even better tasting food. Not S-tier, but a good A-tier. If you are local to this place and need a fresh burger or milkshake, this is a good place to try out.
July 27 · Stephen TangGrabbed lunch here with my friend after seeing it appear on a list of must try burger places. I thought it was good but I feel badly saying it wasn’t much more than that. I had a BigHaus and added bacon jam with onion rings on the side. The burger was fine, it was just cooked all the way through which made it tougher and a bit dry. The onion rings were hard as a rock. Not sure if they were old or what the issue was since other people seem to like them. Maybe I had the wrong thing, maybe I was there on an off meal, but I thought it was only a “good” burger spot.
