Cannoli King Introduce
For New Yorkers and visitors to the city, a trip to Little Italy isn't complete without a stop at a classic Italian pastry shop. Among the many charming establishments, one name reigns supreme: Cannoli King. Located on the bustling and vibrant Mulberry Street, this dessert shop is more than just a place to get a sweet treat; it’s an institution, a piece of New York history, and a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. The shop, also known as Caffé Palermo, has earned its nickname for a very good reason—it’s been crafting what many consider the best cannoli in the city for decades.
Stepping into Cannoli King feels like stepping into a scene from a classic Italian-American movie. The atmosphere is bustling and lively, filled with the aroma of fresh pastries and rich coffee. It has a timeless quality that combines the charm of old-world Italy with the energetic pace of New York City. Despite its popularity and a constant stream of customers, it doesn't feel like a "tourist trap." Instead, it exudes an authentic, old-school vibe that makes it a beloved spot for both locals and tourists alike. The glass display case, brimming with an incredible selection of pastries, beckons you to come closer and admire the artistry of Italian baking.
While the cannoli is undoubtedly the main event, Cannoli King offers a comprehensive menu that caters to every craving. From other classic Italian pastries like Sfogliatella and Lobster Tail to an extensive selection of coffees, wines, and specialty cocktails, there's something to satisfy every taste. The staff is known for being friendly and accommodating, and despite the busy environment, they work efficiently to ensure everyone gets their fix. It’s the perfect place for a quick visit to grab a dessert to go, or to sit down, people-watch, and soak in the unique atmosphere of Mulberry Street. The fact that the owner, "Baby John" DeLutro, has held the title of "Cannoli King" for so long is a testament to the consistent quality and tradition that the shop upholds.
The shop is situated at the heart of Little Italy at 152 Mulberry St, New York, NY 10013, USA. Its prime location makes it incredibly easy to find and an essential part of any walk through the neighborhood. Mulberry Street itself is a destination, famous for its annual Feast of San Gennaro and its array of classic Italian restaurants, making Cannoli King a natural stopping point for dessert or a late-afternoon coffee. The area is well-connected to public transportation, with several subway stations and bus lines within walking distance. This accessibility ensures that whether you're coming from another borough or a different part of Manhattan, getting to the heart of Little Italy to enjoy a pastry is a breeze.
While the shop itself is a bustling, quick-visit spot, there is plenty of seating available for those who want to take a moment to relax and enjoy their treats. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, perfect for people-watching from a window seat or a table inside. The focus on a "quick visit" means that service is efficient and designed to get you your order promptly, which is ideal for those who are on a tight schedule or simply want a fast and delicious treat. Payment is easy and convenient, as the establishment accepts credit cards, ensuring a smooth transaction. The location on a historic and lively street makes a visit to Cannoli King not just a dessert run, but a quintessential New York experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We stopped by here Nov 2nd 2024 on a Saturday afternoon for my caffeine fix. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The place is quite busy, mostly tourists like us, I would assume, but it doesn't feel like a tourist trap. For a prime location on Mulberry, it has the The Godfather vibe. We enjoyed our canoli and latte. The best part is just people watching and soaking in the atmosphere. Will come back and try their other goodies...
August 23 · Carl WongThis place is located in Little Italy, so you know it has great desserts! The Canoli was delicious! We also had a 3 chocolate mousse cake and a creme brulee. All of the desserts were great. Service was good, and there was plenty of seating available. A good place for a quick dessert.
August 03 · Chris MaineThey’re very adamant about seating=table service. We quickly got our mini cannolis and skirted. Super yummy though 😋
September 15 · Jessica BachansinghFrustrating to read reviews that say it’s not worth it, tourist trap, etc. The cannoli’s are huge, delicious and well worth it, and don’t miss the ridiculously delicious Tiramisu (after you try it you may realize you’ve never actually had a real Tiramisu before…). Are they rude as some reviews say? Not at all! Just understand that tables are for waiter service only. It’s a business and the waiters and waitresses are working to make money too.
June 18 · BThey have tables of you want to sit and our you can get your food to go. The waitress was very nice. We ordered iced cappuccino and the assorted mini cannolis. Delicious!
