A Closer Look at the Menu
To truly appreciate Caribbean Station, it helps to understand some of their most iconic dishes.
The lunch dish Pernil Con Moro Y Ensalada is a wonderful showcase of Dominican cuisine. Pernil translates to slow-roasted or pulled pork, a highly savory and tender cut of meat. Moro refers to rice cooked with beans, in this case likely yellow rice with pigeon peas (Arroz con Gandules), a classic Caribbean rice and bean combination, which makes it a hearty and flavorful dish. Ensalada simply means salad, providing a fresh, cool counterpoint to the rich pork and rice. This particular dish is a customer favorite, praised for the "amazing" pernil and flavorful yellow rice.
Another staple, particularly for breakfast, is Mangu. This is a traditional Dominican dish made from boiled, mashed green plantains. It is typically served with cebolla roja (sautéed red onions) and is the foundation for the classic "Los Tres Golpes" (The Three Hits), which is Mangu served with fried cheese, salami, and a fried egg. This breakfast is a comforting and filling way to start the day.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered via uber eats and was very impressed. The rotisserie chicken (pollo a la brasa) was well seasoned and juicy. The beans are some of the best I’ve had. Rice was well cooked. Maduros were perfect. I highly recommend trying this place. It is on par with my favorite Dominican restaurants in Washington Heights.
March 16 · Michael A.The food was good and the portion was fair. I gave them 4 stars is because I asked for the first responders discount that they have outside the store and they refuse to apply because they say is expired. Do better and remove it
September 15 · MissApu_MC evetAlways great service authentic food at an authentic price
August 25 · James DiamondDelicious food, good prices, clean charming place, easy to park around there, they have natural juices, some desserts, good amount of tables. Go for it.
January 31 · Jean SantosMaybe the food is good if you dine in, but my delivery was terrible. I used UberEats and I’m so disappointed. Habichuelas were so watery, I counted 8 beans in one order and then 5 in the other. They forgot my potato salad! The green salad was just a bunch of shredded lettuce and one tomato slice! That’s it! No even any dressing! I’m just so dissatisfied with my order. I will never order from this place again.
February 26 · Mango FresaClean spot with variety of food. Came for a quick breakfast because the area doesn’t have anything decent. Highly recommend.
