Carvel is a classic New York tradition. They make the cakes and icecream in the store. The workers move fast and keep the line moving. It is at a great location right next to the movie theather. They accept credit and debit cards.

Quite disappointed with this carvel. The ice cream is quite good, how expected from all the carvels, but the woman, and man working their. They are really rude, slow slow, REALLY SLOW service. I had to wait about 20 minutes to enter a store on a line with 5 people. Like come on. The store is dirty, and woman has some trouble hearing, as I had to repeat myself 5 times to get chocolate ice cream, and btw if you want to get regular chocolate ice cream, not on a soft serve, they ain’t got those. I’m not coming again, as I’m worried about their sanitation. Can’t tolerate these kind of places in Long Island.Edit: some of the reviews are written by themselves, and the people only commented on their ice cream cakes. As if you go to any carvel in queens. It’s 1000x Better.

I ordered 5 kid size cups of ice cream and my daughterthen decided she wanted a cone. I asked for one cone on the side, and was told it would be an extra charge. BUT, had I ordered that same kid cup in the cone to begin with, there would be no charge. If the cup and cone are the same exact price, why the extra charge added when "on the side?" I've never had this problem elsewhere and feel like maybe I'm missing something? I was put off by this and will stick with Smusht from now on.

The Asian man and woman who run this carvel are so rude and clearly miserable running their shop. Their rudeness and attitude is so uncalled for. Port Washington could really do without the eye rolling at simple requests or slight order adjustments. I would redirect all PW residents or anyone visiting to spend your hard earned money at Shmusht Ice cream & Cookies on Main st. Delightful staff and owners and quality ice cream. I would never go back to this carvel if my toddler wasn't asking for it. My 2 year old dropped her spoon and the Asian lady rolled her eyes when I asked for an extra and threw spoon at me. The man also yelled at me when I asked to change the small size cup to a kids size. Port could really do without the lack of basic manners. Thank you for ruining peoples days for absolutely no reason👍🏼👏🏻
