My two teens felt that the salmon dish and clam bucatini, respectively, was just average. I might have considered that simply teenage taste buds, although my daughter has been with me to many fine-dining restaurants in her past.My ribeye was tender but honestly kind of blah as well flavor-wise. So was the asparagus I ordered. Although crisp, it had no flavor popping at all. It was advertised to be served with a lemon sauce, it seemed mostly butter with very little lemon.Honestly surprised going back and reading all these highly rated reviews!! Like I said, nothing terrible but certainly nothing to write home about, especially at this price point, and given another stay at the knickerbocker, I will choose somewhere else to eat. My server was very nice though

The steak was amazing - very tender and juicy, I actually eat too much because it was good. The mushroom was cooked in a unique way - I liked it but I always love mushrooms. The dessert and coffee was just a great closure of an amazing dinner. The service was very good - they went ways to get decaf coffee from a different place as they don’t have it at the moment.
October 14 · Julia LiangEvery visit I am blown away by the exceptional service, and this time I was lucky enough to share this beautiful experience with one of my best friends who was visiting New York.She was very hesitant to go to a steakhouse after a long day of sightseeing and us only having less than an hour before the restaurant’s closing - but I am so happy we did!Raymond and Charlotte remembered me and my dietary restrictions from previous visits- remarkable attention to details!They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and their recommendations were spot on - they even split our salad without us asking.Steak frites continue to be my absolute favorite- steak cooked to perfection each time!Thank you, team Charlie Palmer!Looking forward to my next visit!

Everything from the fresh bread with there unique spreads and there amazingly fresh and colorful Seafood Tower all the way to our amazing entrees. Drinks were served quickly and properly.2- Service. 5/5. Don’t remember the young ladies name who helped us but she was very friendly, accommodating, warm and attentive.3- Ambiance. 5/5. Beautiful Restaurant that’s well kept and clean. Traditional steakhouse settings.4- Reservations. 5/5. Fairly easy to get, but we did visit this amazing restaurant at off peak hours.5- Value 5/5. Worth every penny and then some. Seafood Tower was much less than expected but the steak was slightly over priced compared to other top notch Steakhouses in Manhattan. I would 100% return and recommend this restaurant.
January 27 · Mr. Menu manThe service and the atmosphere of the restaurant were great, but the tomahawk steak that we ordered was underwhelming. We ordered a medium rare steak but when it came out it was closer to rare. The steak was too chewy and hard to digest. We had to send it back to the kitchen to get it cooked more. Overall the food was not worth it for the price that was charged ($219 for the 36oz tomahawk steak!)
