CHOCOLATE DIP is, first and foremost, a destination for all things chocolate. As the name suggests, the star of the show is the "100% Belgian Chocolate" which is used to coat a variety of desserts. This commitment to quality chocolate is a major draw, with the scent of it filling the entire room and enticing customers as they walk by. The menu is a playground of creativity, offering items that go beyond the standard waffle or crepe. You can find "creative items" that have been "never quite seen before," such as a "Sushi-Style" or a "fettuccine-inspired dessert crepe." This kind of innovation makes the menu exciting to explore and gives customers a reason to try something new. The staff's enthusiasm for the products, with one customer noting their "urgency... to order," highlights the passion behind the creations.
The atmosphere at CHOCOLATE DIP is a significant part of its appeal. The interior is described as both "clean and Chic," creating a pleasant and inviting environment for customers. It's a sweet oasis in a bustling neighborhood. The staff is consistently noted for being "friendly" and "very welcoming," which contributes to a positive customer experience. While there may be some concerns about the food quality, as mentioned in one review regarding the cookie butter crepe and waxy chocolate, other reviews highlight the amazing nature of the food, such as the brownies crepe. The quick service is another highlight, making it an excellent choice for a "quick visit" when you're craving a dessert without a long wait. The shop’s ability to cater to late-night cravings adds to its allure, making it a convenient spot for an indulgent treat after a night out.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1[QUICK STATS]Cuisine: BelgianFood: DessertStaff: FriendlyEnvironment: Clean and Chic[REVIEW]Very disappointed with my experience here— Chocolate DIP called to me because of its cutesy interior in the midst of punk of St. Marks Pl. I hadn’t seen it before, and between the bakery and this place, it definitely piqued my interest. They had many creative items on the menu which I had never quite seen before (such as a Sushi-Style and fettuccine-inspired dessert crepe! How cool!). The prices are definitely up there, and even though I wasn’t too interested in giving up $15, the whole room was engulfed in chocolate scent and we just couldn’t help ourselves! My friend and I ended up getting a Belgian Waffle and the Cookie Butter Crepe with fixings on it, after urgency from the staff to order despite there being no-one else in the store. The speed of service was very quick, and the end presentation was cute! It’s the eating part that irked me the most.I thought by ordering a **Cookie Butter** crepe, it would include that actual product in it rather than a bunch of whole cookies shoved between the crepe layers. Originally thought that maybe they were bits that weren’t crushed enough, but nope, it was around 6 - 7 entire cookies in a very expensive dessert that definitely wasn’t worth it at that point. I did my best to enjoy it, but obviously, the hard cookie made it difficult as I was expecting a spread with cookie bits in it. Majority of the strawberries I ordered on top were also unsweet and very mushy— a sign they’re old. On top of that, the chocolate was very waxy and tasted inauthentic to what I know Belgian chocolate to be. Just plain bad all around, except for the crepe, which following the experience I’m pretty sure it just came out of a freezer and was reheated.[CONCLUSION]I really wanted to like this place, but I don’t think I’ll be returning. TSwirl across the street has better priced items with a much wider variety of options.
