★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 11.0 First ImpressionsAs a first-time visitor, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Ecuadorian cuisine — but Dinastia Ecuadorian Food made a lasting impression. I was drawn in by the high local ratings, the Spanish-speaking community nearby, and the inviting, neighborhood corner location. It felt authentic and grounded, with a relaxed, casual atmosphere.Upon entering, there was live music playing, which gave the space a lively, cultural energy. The waitress greeted me kindly and let me sit by the window — a perfect spot to relax after walking nearly 10 miles that day.2.0 Food Quality – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)2.1 Dish OrderedI went with a recommendation from the waitress: Llapingacho (~$19, slightly less with cash payment). Guanaba (soursop juice water)2.2 Taste & PresentationThe plate was massive, colorful, and full of flavor. It had avocado, lettuce, and a variety of ingredients that created a balanced and satisfying meal. The meat was tender and perfectly seasonedThe plate felt like real home cooking, not commercializedFood matched the high expectations set by menu photos and online images2.3 ValueThe portion and flavor fully justified the price. Paying in cash saves a bit, which is a smart option due to card processing fees.3.0 Service – ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)3.1 PositivesThe waitress was warm and welcomingShe offered helpful menu guidanceI appreciated the clean bathroom, which shows attention to detail3.2 Room for ImprovementThe only major downside was the long wait for food – 37 minutes with no updates or communication during that time. While I’m a patient person, after 30 minutes, a quick reassurance from the staff would’ve made a big difference. I noticed other tables being served and began to wonder about the delay.Lack of communication felt like a management oversight, not a reflection of the server’s attitudeI still left a tip over 20% due to her positive energy and effort4.0 Environment & Atmosphere4.1 Local FeelIt felt like a family-run, mom-and-pop style restaurant — cozy and realThe energy was community-driven and familiarIt’s located on a busy corner with several Ecuadorian spots, but this one stood out for its authenticity4.2 External DisruptionOne small issue: someone came in asking customers for money. While I understood the context of the area, it was a brief interruption that might bother some diners. Not the restaurant’s fault, but something to be aware of.4.3 AccessibilityParking is limited, so if you’re driving, be prepared for a challengeBest to walk or take the train, which is easy given the location5.0 Final Thoughts – ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5 Overall)This is the kind of place I’ll definitely return to. The food was incredible, the vibe was warm, and while the service had its delay, it wasn’t enough to turn me away. If they improve how they handle wait times — even just giving brief updates — I can easily see this becoming a 5-star favorite for me.✅ Would I recommend it? Absolutely.✅ Will I return? Without a doubt.
May 02 · MiguelA friend brought me here. I don’t speak Spanish, but my friend did. The menu was in English, which helped. The servers were very nice and attentive! The food was excellent! I will definitely come back!
September 14 · Emmanuel RamosThe atmosphere upon entering was living and inviting which made me optimistic. I came with my sister and we sat ourselves down. Ordering was fine but I had an humita which I asked to be sweet. It was salty and my sister ate it with me and confirmed it to be salty. I asked the waitress and she said it was sweet and then proceeded to give us an attitude afterwards about the situation. We decided to eat it because it was $6 and since the waitress was becoming visibly annoyed we said nothing and hoped for the best of our meal. We both got churasco meals. I ate a majority of mine which was decent but nearing the end of my sister eating their meal, she found a plastic part in their rice. She felt it and I felt it and it was for sure plastic. We called our waitress over who was visibly annoyed. She took the piece, went to another waitress and gaslit us saying the piece was not plastic. We felt it and she had already chewed into it, we knew what it was. She went to another waitress and whispered to them and came back to offer us more food. We didn’t want food we could no longer trust. I asked for a discount on the bill since my sister refused to eat the rest of their food and they only took off the drinks which was a canned soda and a water bottle. I get that their job can be stressful but there really was no need for the attitude when we were already being as nice as possible. Highly dissapointed.
August 01 · Carolina ZhagnayThe atmosphere was nice, the food was around a 3/10 after I found a huge plastic chunk in it. I ordered a churrasco. And the waiter told me it wasn’t plastic but obviously was…
August 01 · Sherla ZhagnayIn general the food my friends and O ordered was good, except the fish cocktail, I was dissatisfied, the presentation of it was not the best, the pieces of the fish as well as the other ingredients; tomato and onions were too big for a cocktail, it was not the right fish to prepare a fish cocktail. I think it is very important to check those details to make it look good, this is one of our flag dishes.
