Navigating the menu at Eyval is a true pleasure, as nearly every dish is a work of art. To get the most out of your visit, it’s best to order a selection of small plates to share and then a main course. Here are some of the most celebrated and worthwhile choices:
For starters, you absolutely cannot miss the Barbari Bread served with the Persian Shallot Yogurt. This combination is described by one reviewer as "out of this world" and provides a perfect introduction to the restaurant's mastery of flavor and texture. Another stellar option is the Whipped Feta Spread with fresh herbs and walnuts, which is rich, creamy, and pairs perfectly with the bread.
Among the main courses, the Kabob Koobideh, featuring ground beef and lamb brisket, is a classic for a reason. Served with a delicious tomato butter and saffron rice, it's a testament to the chef's expertise. For a truly indulgent dish, the Duck Fesenjan with its rich pomegranate-walnut sauce is a standout. The Lamb Ribs with tamarind-date glaze are also a must-try for a mix of sweet and savory flavors. For a hearty stew, the Ghormeh Sabzi, a braised veal shank and herb stew, offers a deep, complex flavor profile that will leave a lasting impression.
Beyond the meats, the vegetable dishes are equally impressive. The Mushroom Kabob is an exquisite plant-based option, and the Eggplant & Cured Yogurt “Kashke Bademjan” is a beautifully deconstructed version of a traditional dish. For a simple yet flavorful side, the Potato Tahdig with sour plum sauce is a fan favorite. Don’t forget to explore the cocktail menu, which is crafted with the same attention to detail as the food, with drinks that expertly incorporate Persian flavors like saffron and rosewater.
Eyval offers a culinary journey that is both authentic and innovative, making it a place you'll want to return to again and again to discover new favorites.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Eyval is by far the best Persian restaurant I have ever been to. The food is absolutely fantastic—each dish feels like a true work of art. Chef Ali is not only an incredibly talented chef but also a wonderful human being and a true artist when it comes to creating unforgettable flavors. The vibe of the restaurant is unmatched. Everyone who works there is so warm and kind—it feels like being welcomed into one big family where their only goal is to make every guest happy. The energy and atmosphere are just perfect. This place deserves a Michelin star without question. Everything is made fresh the same day, and you can truly taste that freshness in every single bite.If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Eyval is it.
August 28 · Nima AzizpourTough one here for me, going to have to come back for sure. The tldr - everything is great.Vibe and service is top notch, grab a reservation and get there early to check out the whole restaurant. The cocktails are spectacular as well.Food. So the food is really really good. I think that the kabob wasn’t as tender and hot as I expected, maybe it was busy so the plate sat for a bit, I understand. However at these price points I expect it to be close to perfect, especially in this area. The yogurt + bread combo was out of this world. I liked the saffron chicken, but maybe needed a little more salt or spice to cut through the sweetness of the other ingredients.Overall very happy and will be back as mentioned.
April 30 · Jasraj SinghWould rate it over 5 if possible! We celebrated an event here, if you are more than 6, their pre-planned shareable menu is wonderful! Authentic way Persians eat at their own celebration! An incredible Persian restaurant that truly stands out! From cocktails to desserts, every dish stays true to Persian flavors while adding a creative, elevated twist. The salads, sauces, appetizers, and mains are a burst of taste—rich, bold, and beautifully balanced. Chef Ali is not only talented but also genuinely kind, and the whole team makes you feel right at home. One of the few Persian spots that truly deserves a Michelin star. A must-try!
June 08 · Pasha JavadiEyval was nothing short of fantastic! This was my first time trying Persian food and I was truly amazed by every dish we tried. The flavor combinations were unique and delicious, with the perfect mix of sweet and savory. We tried both the komaj bread and barbari bread, which had perfect textures of soft and fluffy. The citrus date salad was super refreshing and light with deep flavors from the dressing and dates, which was the perfect appetizer. We decided to try the lamb ribs, octopus kabob, and kabob koobideh as our entrees. The meat for all dishes were amazingly tender and flavorful, with the ribs falling right off the bone and the octopus perfectly chewy. The star of the shows in these dishes however, was the tomato butter that was served on top of the basmati rice in the kabob koobideh! It was so savory without being salty and wish there was more on the plate. I recommend all of these to share! The interior was simple but beautifully designed, creating a nice ambiance that takes you out of New York City. As you walk further in, you’re able to view the kitchen where chefs are carefully crafting each dish. The service was exceptional also! Our server was very attentive to our table, making sure dishes were cleared and plates were swapped out for an easy dining experience. I also mentioned it was my birthday and they served my dessert with candle, which was a very thoughtful gesture.Overall, this place was the perfect birthday dinner and glad I ventured out to try new food here! We are already thinking about our next visit to try more of their menu as I’m sure every dish will not disappoint.
September 14 · Brittany NgThis place is awesome! My family and I had the best meal. The menu is made for sharing. Every dish we ordered was the best I’ve had. The service was great. The team worked together seamlessly. We were not rushed. The dishes were brought out in a timely fashion. Our table was never devoid of food. The drinks were unique and delicious. The vibe was great!
