Fonda Reviews
If you’re craving authentic Mexican food with a modern twist, Fonda is the place to be. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant, yet cozy atmosphere made us feel like we were dining in a neighborhood gem. The restaurant has a warm, inviting vibe with colorful decor that’s not over-the-top, but just right to set the mood.We started with the guacamole with tortilla chips, and it was absolutely divine—fresh, flavorful, and with just the right amount of spice. For the main course, I had the enchiladas verdes, which were fantastic. The chicken was juicy, the sauce was tangy and rich, and the dish was perfectly balanced. My friend opted for the mole chicken, and it was a winner too – the mole sauce was rich and deep, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The margaritas were also a highlight – refreshing, not too sweet, and served with a salted rim. They really know their way around cocktails at Fonda. The service was friendly and attentive, and we were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in.Overall, Fonda is the perfect spot for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors with a contemporary edge. It’s casual, vibrant, and the food is absolutely top-notch. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
September 16 · จักร กันเงินGreat spot for both happy hour and dinner! As we have enjoyed the other location in Chelsea, it was great to welcome this establishment in Tribeca. Birria de res was an interesting spin! The guac was tasty, and I’d recommend getting the spice on the side. HH all night Monday and Sunday; 4-7 p.m. Tuesday to Friday.
