Foo An Introduce
Foo An, nestled on South Conduit Avenue in Queens, New York, is a classic neighborhood establishment that operates strictly as a "Chinese restaurant" and "Takeout Restaurant." Its business model is built entirely around convenience and speed, catering directly to the busy New York local who needs a fast, satisfying, and familiar meal. This spot is a quintessential local find, focusing on high-volume service for both "Lunch" and "Dinner" and highly "Popular for" the solo diner seeking a quick and easy solution.
The core offering at Foo An is classic Chinese-American "Comfort food." This category typically includes mainstays like "Chicken with Broccoli," "General Tso's Chicken," various rice and noodle dishes, and appetizers such as egg rolls and fried wontons. The restaurant also makes an effort to serve a wider audience by including "Vegetarian options" and "Small plates," which are perfect for a "Quick bite." For many New Yorkers, a local Chinese spot like Foo An is a crucial part of the urban culinary landscape, offering reliable, filling, and inexpensive meals.
It is important for prospective patrons to note a critical operational detail: Foo An is strictly "Cash-only" for payments. In today's highly digital economy, this is a distinguishing factor that users should be aware of before placing an order or arranging pickup. The atmosphere is definitively "Casual," reflecting its primary function as a dedicated takeout and delivery service rather than a formal dine-in establishment.
Customer reviews indicate a mixed experience, which is not uncommon for high-volume local takeout venues. While the provided feedback includes strong critiques regarding food quality—specifically mentioning "uncooked" chicken, "3 day old wings with yesterday's cold ass stale fries," and a lack of flavor in some components—it is this feedback, alongside the operational information, that truly informs a local user's decision. For many locals, the decision to choose a spot like Foo An often comes down to accessibility, price, and habit, even with acknowledged inconsistencies in quality. The ability to get a fast, hot meal delivered or picked up in the immediate area remains a powerful incentive for the neighborhood consumer.
Location and Accessibility
Foo An is located at 223-18 S Conduit Ave, Queens, NY 11413, USA. This address places the restaurant along the South Conduit Avenue corridor in the Queens area, close to major routes and the eastern edge of the borough. South Conduit Avenue runs parallel to the Belt Parkway, making the location highly accessible for vehicular traffic in the vicinity of JFK International Airport and the surrounding residential neighborhoods like Laurelton and Springfield Gardens.
The establishment's positioning on a major road facilitates its core services of "Delivery" and "Takeout." While direct on-site parking is not explicitly listed, the nature of its location along South Conduit Avenue and its identity as a takeout spot suggests that street parking or quick roadside stops are the intended method for "Takeout" patrons. Given the nearby presence of major thoroughfares and proximity to key transportation hubs, this area of Queens relies heavily on quick-access, convenience-based dining options. Public transit access in this specific industrial-adjacent stretch of South Conduit Avenue is typically via local bus routes that connect to larger train and subway hubs further inland in Queens.

What is Worth Choosing Foo An
For residents in the immediate vicinity of South Conduit Avenue and the surrounding Queens neighborhoods, Foo An represents the ultimate in local convenience for Chinese "Comfort food." The key reason to choose this establishment is its absolute dedication to fast and easy "Delivery" and "Takeout."
As a dedicated "Takeout Restaurant," Foo An's operational focus is entirely on getting food from the kitchen to the customer’s door or hands as quickly as possible. This speed and localization are essential advantages in the Queens area, where travel time for food can be a significant factor. When a local user needs a reliable, quick "Lunch" or "Dinner," especially those accustomed to "Solo dining" or late-night ordering, Foo An is positioned to meet that immediate need. The availability of "Vegetarian options" also means it can serve households with varied dietary needs without requiring a trip to a larger, more distant, full-service restaurant.
However, the decision to patronize Foo An must be weighed with the provided customer information. For a certain segment of the New York consumer—specifically, those who prioritize speed, accessibility on major roads, and local convenience for a traditional "Comfort food" fix—Foo An fulfills a necessary niche. It is a no-frills, cash-only operation focused on volume and proximity, making it a functional neighborhood staple for a "Quick bite," provided patrons are prepared for the limitations of a high-volume, delivery-centric operation. Its strict "Cash-only" policy is also a significant factor that makes it stand out from competitors who accept digital payments, and patrons must plan accordingly.
Ultimately, the choice of Foo An is a choice for hyper-local convenience, reliable delivery, and familiar, classic Chinese-American fare, making it a critical element of the local Queens dining ecosystem.

September 18 · Linford Wray JrChicken & broccoli is very uncooked the chicken tastes like plastic. I once called them out for this and I was told they can’t cook the chicken. They need new workers this used to be the best spot
May 03 · Billboard InstrumentalFood was disgusting, the chicken tasted like mush. Find somewhere else to spend your money.
January 07 · Sean FordeStore used to be exceptionally good before it was taken over by new people. The chicken is always uncooked and when I asked to make it cooked one day, they told me the chicken can’t be cooked.
March 11 · Zlatan Hundo10/24/24 around 5:00 pm today. The food was stale and hard. I ordered house special fried rice they used big chunks of chicken that were not fully cooked no peas no carrots . The rice was not fresh and the chicken wings were so hard to chew. Looks like the wings has been sitting there already cooked and all they did was to deep it back in oil. The food was so disgusting I end up dumping it . Would not been going there again. The quality of the food is real bad I don’t know what happened that used to be my spot .
