The restaurant, sometimes referenced by its local nickname “Erica's Caribbean Cruise,” focuses on delivering traditional, robustly seasoned dishes that aim to transport diners straight to the Caribbean islands with every bite. The extensive offerings ensure that whether you are craving a hearty breakfast, a quick lunch, or a full dinner, you'll find a wide variety of choices reflecting the rich culinary heritage of the region.
The menu is ambitious, covering everything from slow-cooked meats and fresh seafood to traditional soups and vegetarian-friendly sides. In a fast-paced city like New York, local businesses like this play an essential role in providing accessible, culturally relevant food options. Erica's Caribbean Cuisine primarily caters to the local need for convenient takeout and delivery service, fitting into the busy lifestyle of residents in Queens and the surrounding neighborhoods.
It is important for patrons to approach this local eatery with a realistic perspective. Publicly available reviews on popular food ordering platforms indicate a highly varied customer experience. While the establishment benefits from its wide range of traditional Caribbean items, commentary from local users highlights significant concerns regarding food quality, consistency, portion control, and sanitation issues—including serious allegations of finding foreign objects in food. This feedback suggests that quality control is a substantial challenge for the operation, leading to polarized experiences where some customers enjoy their meal while others have found their orders unacceptable and a waste of money. Therefore, prospective customers should be aware of these reported inconsistencies as part of making an informed dining decision in the competitive New York food landscape.
Location and Accessibility
Erica's Caribbean Cuisine is conveniently located at 219-25 N Conduit Ave, Springfield Gardens, NY 11413, USA. This Queens location places it on a major roadway, making it highly visible and easily accessible by vehicle for those driving through the area, particularly from the JFK Airport vicinity or nearby residential zones.

Its proximity to major thoroughfares connects it to communities like Rosedale, Laurelton, and Jamaica. The location is structured primarily for quick access and easy pickup for local customers, though street parking in the area, typical of outer-borough New York, may require patience. What is Worth Choosing
For Queens residents looking to experience the best of Erica’s Caribbean Cuisine, a judicious selection of core, traditional dishes is recommended. The restaurant's appeal rests in its extensive offering of island staples, making the Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, and Oxtail the most representative and popular choices. These dishes are the cornerstones of the cuisine and often the reason a customer seeks out a Caribbean spot. The Ackee and Saltfish is another classic that is worth considering for an authentic breakfast experience.
However, local customers must weigh the desire for these traditional flavors against the significant, publicly documented feedback concerning quality and sanitary lapses. The available customer reviews contain serious, repeated complaints about issues like unappetizing food quality, small portion sizes relative to price, and hygiene concerns—specifically reports of finding hair and potential food spoilage. Given the nature of these highly critical and negative comments, a prospective customer should exercise caution.
If you choose to dine here, it’s advisable to stick to the most frequently ordered main dishes and to consider ordering during peak meal times when food is likely to be prepared most recently. It is always wise to inspect your order immediately upon receiving it. Ultimately, choosing Erica's Caribbean Cuisine is a decision to seek out traditional Caribbean comfort food in a highly convenient local setting, while remaining mindful of the very public and consistent reports of quality inconsistency that affect the dining experience.

February 06 · TrudyHair was in the food it was burgundy Long burgundy hair. Chicken was chewy not worth the money . Mac and cheese was literally plastic. Rice was also sour calling the health department tomorrow they need to be shut down. This is unacceptable
February 06 · Nickira ValentineI ordered food and juice at this restaurant only to realized a few minutes into drinking my juice it kept tasting weird and I knew exactly what the juice usually tasted like so I decided to check the expiry date and it happened to be expired for a whole month and they’re still selling it so I went back to the store and told them and the lady said to me “miss do u really think we check our stuff?” And I find that to be so wild because as a restaurant u are supposed to be checking your stuff!! And this isn’t the first time, last time I went they had expired bun and cheese just sitting there at the front about to sell it to me. If I didn’t look before I left the store they would given me molded bun and cheese
April 07 · Shantelle Connell‼️‼️Great customer service!! The food was OKAY... I’ve had better in the area. Overall, it’s was a pleasant experience 😃😃
April 25 · ThaT_Chaos_ TGGI ordered the escovitched fish and it was just aweful! It was a few days old and was very dry. The fish flesh was dark and oily. The steamed cabbage was very sour. They kept re-warming the food, because it wasn’t selling. I had to throw the food away and wasted my $20. I should have just gone to Popeyes around the corner. Erica needs to do better and stop serving old stale food.
