What is Worth Choosing
For first-time visitors or returning patrons, certain items consistently receive high praise and are considered the definitive choices at Jamaican Flavors Restaurant. The menu is vast, but these options truly represent the establishment's best:
- The Jerk Chicken: Available bone-in or boneless, the jerk chicken is a cornerstone of the menu. It is one of the most frequently ordered items and is highly rated for its flavor, though patrons may want to request extra sauce on the side if they prefer a wetter preparation over a drier style.
- Oxtail Meal: Consistently ranked as a most-liked item, the braised oxtail is a must-try. This rich, fall-off-the-bone meat, served in a deeply savory gravy, is considered a premium offering and a true representation of Jamaican comfort food.
- Jamaican Patties with Coco Bread: The beef and jerk chicken patties are extremely popular. Pairing a flaky, savory patty with a slice of the soft, slightly sweet coco bread is an iconic combination that is highly recommended for a quick, satisfying bite. They offer a wide variety, making it easy to find a favorite filling.
- Curry Goat: A robust and flavorful option, the Curry Goat is a favorite for those who enjoy tender meat slow-cooked in a traditional curry blend. It's often paired perfectly with Rice & Peas.
- Homemade Natural Juices: Don't miss the fresh juices, like the highly praised Homemade Natural Carrot Juice and the Pineapple-Ginger juice. These beverages provide a refreshing, authentic, and homemade touch to any meal.
While the food quality is generally excellent and the staff is often described as polite and friendly, customers should note the feedback regarding delivery services. For the best experience and to ensure order accuracy for items like 'steamed vegetables' versus 'salad,' pickup or in-person ordering is recommended. However, for a fantastic array of authentic Jamaican meals, patties, and baked goods, Jamaican Flavors remains a standout destination in the Queens food scene.

Jamaican Flavors Restaurant Reviews
I purchased a medium-sized curry chicken with rice and peas, along with a slice of bread pudding, all washed down with a bottle of mango fruit juice. The total cost was a reasonable £18. Surprisingly, although I have eaten here many times before, the curry chicken did not suit my taste this time. I couldn’t quite pinpoint the issue, but it seemed a bit too greasy for my palate. The staff member who took my order was polite and friendly. Finding a parking spot can be challenging, though I was able to find a space on the other side of the road.

June 01 · Ali GeoI was there this morning around, 10am, don’t get me wrong we live in New York and thers going to be bugs. BUT where they have the salt fish at, located on the right as you walk in. There was a fat roach that kept crawling back n forth from where the food is at. I politely asked the cashier if she had a broom or fly swatter, she didn’t know where it was………… so all day I’m thinking I’m eating roach food. I spent my $15 so I couldn’t just throw it out but I couldn’t stomach the today’s interaction. And not for nothing “flavors” shouldn’t be in the name because the food literally has no taste. I’d rather eat hospital food….. knock on wood I hope I don’t have to for the next few days….. please do better for us customers. I am not a food critic but good food is good food but this spot ain’t it
June 04 · Buckwiid JacksonVery disappointed. multiple times I passed the jamaican flavors on springfield blvd and come to this one because it’s closer to home and the last couple of times i’ve been disappointed by the quality of food. The patties and coco bread i ate yesterday was so hard and dry it tasted like they gave me a old patty from last week. Sometimes i come and look at the food in the window and it looks like it’s been sitting there all day drying out. Fish was hard like a rock and festivals are so hard i almost lost a tooth. I will no longer waste my time coming to this location which is truly sad because this used to be one of the best spots in the community. fix the food or just close down seriously.
September 10 · Jada GilletteThey’ve changed the name to Kerrion K. Usually there’s a lady who provides excellent customer service. Today, there was a man who didn’t even speak - not to tell me the price, or anything. He could be non-verbal but he should be in the kitchen if that’s the case.
