Gateway on the 9th Reviews
Showed up at 11:40am. Sign says open every day 11am. Employees mopping the floor looks at me every 10 seconds but is too engrossed in her airpods to say anything. Stood there for 5 minutes. Left. Went to front desk. Had to wait whole employee there finished his chat with a housekeeper. Employees there says "the food starts at 11" and I reply "that was over 45 minutes ago. Your employee mopping isn't saying anything." Then he tells me they are closed for lunch today"Employees throughout this hotel have zero drive to provide service to guests. You have a snazzy board by the desk with a "Word of the day". It just so happens to be "Hospitality". Let's look into that. Hospitality is "Hospitality is the relationship of a host towards a guest, wherein the host receives the guest with some amount of goodwill and welcome. This includes the reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers."You failed. Now, I have to go get my vehicle out of the idiotic parking you have on site (why the hell do I need valet?) So I can go find food nearby. Which will be fun parking an ambulance in Jersey.
November 17 · Erik LunaFood was delicious, and I was impressed on the one guy running it all. Idk how he managed to multitask bartending, cooking, waiting, etc while being so calm and personable. He is definitely a star, but I was surprised they don't have more staff.
