★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First timer for dinner. Walked past the pizza counter and I knew this was gonna be a great place. My wife and I sat down and the owners themselves were working. The bread came out fast and pipping hot. Served with cold butter this bread is fantastic tasting. The linguni with meatballs ( red sauce) was amazing. The portion was large enough for a second meal. I ate the leftovers several days later and it was still amazing. The eggplant dish my wife had was very tasty as well and she loved it. This is the hidden gem of the East side. Do yourself a favor and enjoy truly excellent Italian fare. You won't be disappointed.
March 06 · Joe MasucciAs a lifelong New Yorker on a budget, I always make enough room for local pizza, sometimes twice in a day. I used to give this restaurant my frequent and exclusive lunchtime business. The pizza was admittedly, very hard to beat. Yet no place is worth going to if you can't be treated with the most basic respect. The man who worked and likely still works at lunchtime (given that this is a family business) used to refuse to say thank you to or make eye-contact with me, despite my even often tipping in the jar in front of his eyes. He was polite as normal with others but chose not to be for me, despite my giving him more lunchtime business over a period than anyone else I could see in the shop. And the woman I assume is his mother had no problem treating me with basic dignity on the rare occasion I had her instead. But when one day, this man tried to take the order of the person who came in after me (who then kindly let me go ahead), it became clear that great pizza is not worth being treated like dirt. And to be clear, that's dirt for no reason other than buying a lot of pizza and tipping generously and saying thank you. There are other great pizza places in this famous neighborhood and I do not miss this place for a second.
March 11 · Dorian EhrlichThis place is cash only and doesn’t serve garlic knots. I ordered the lasagna pizza. While the toppings had a lot of flavor, the crust was undercooked and a soupy mess. I had to use a knife and fork to eat it. You can do better on the Upper East Side.
April 15 · Josh RohloffThe food is very good. The portions are a bit small. The service is a little bit slow but in the end they pull it together. I would give it a 4.5 if I could. Try the chicken piccata with broccoli you won't be disappointed.
August 23 · Michael OstuniJust moved in to the neighborhood. Everything you could want in an NYC pizza and pasta spot. What a great slice!
