Giuseppina's Introduce
In the vibrant landscape of New York City’s culinary scene, particularly when discussing pizza—a civic religion in Brooklyn—Giuseppina's stands out as a destination for aficionados seeking an authentic, high-quality pie. Located in the charming neighborhood of Park Slope, this pizza restaurant offers a dining experience that is both casual and distinctly gourmet. It’s known for serving thin, flat-style pizzas cooked to perfection in a brick oven, a method that imparts a signature crispness and smoky flavor to the crust.
Giuseppina’s is more than just a place to grab a slice; it’s an establishment that celebrates the heritage of Italian-American cooking, prioritizing fresh, quality ingredients like Buffalo mozzarella, homemade tomato sauce, and freshly grated Reggiano Pecorino cheese. The atmosphere is described as cozy and intimate, centered around the warm glow of the wood-burning oven, which is a major highlight for diners. This unique ambiance, coupled with the consistently praised quality of the food, positions Giuseppina's not just as a local eatery, but as a notable stop on any New Yorker's pizza pilgrimage.
While the menu is concisely focused on what they do best—pizza and calzones—the execution of these classics is what draws crowds for both lunch and dinner. The experience is elevated beyond a typical takeout spot, leaning toward a "gourmet style experience" that is still accessible and popular for everything from a neighborhood date night to a quick solo meal. The generous portioning of their 19-inch pies ensures that a single order can easily feed a small group, making the experience great for families and groups looking for quality without compromise.
Giuseppina's is perfectly situated in Park Slope, one of Brooklyn's most desirable and accessible neighborhoods. The specific location is 691 6th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215, USA. The neighborhood itself is well-known for its beautiful brownstones, independent shops, and welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, making the restaurant a natural fit for the area.
Accessibility is a key consideration for the restaurant, which features both a wheelchair accessible entrance and wheelchair accessible seating. This commitment ensures that the authentic Italian-American dining experience can be enjoyed by all patrons. The Park Slope location is convenient for locals and easily reachable by public transportation, being situated near major transit routes serving the area. Whether you are coming from other parts of Brooklyn or elsewhere in NYC, Giuseppina's provides a comfortable and convenient dining spot for lunch or dinner. The building's corner location adds to its visibility and neighborhood appeal.
Giuseppina's offers a comprehensive set of services designed to meet various dining needs, from a casual dine-in experience to convenient at-home options.

Choosing Giuseppina's is choosing a celebrated slice of Brooklyn pizza culture, distinguished by its brick oven pedigree and commitment to fresh flavors. It is worth choosing for several compelling reasons that resonate with local New Yorkers.
First, the authenticity of the "flat style" pie, cooked in a true wood-burning brick oven, sets it apart from many other pizzerias. This method results in a thin crust that is both crispy and light, making the high price point—often remarked upon by diners—justifiable for the premium experience and quality. The best way to enjoy this signature crust is often by keeping the toppings modest to let the dough and high-quality cheese shine, though highly recommended pies like the Giuseppina’s Special offer a rich exception.
Second, the overall value extends beyond the pizza itself to the dining environment. The intimate, cozy interior provides a perfect backdrop for a meal that feels special, whether you are dining alone or with a group. The ability to enjoy beer and wine alongside your meal, combined with the fast and friendly service, creates a seamless and memorable experience. Furthermore, the substantial size of the pies means that even the base $27.00 pizza, which is an 8-slice pie, can comfortably serve three or four people, providing excellent value for a gourmet meal.
Finally, patrons frequently rave about the dessert Calzone, stuffed with honey ricotta and drizzled with Nutella, which makes for a delightful and unique end to the meal. For a New York pizza experience that is deeply rooted in tradition, prioritizes quality ingredients, and provides a uniquely cozy Park Slope atmosphere, Giuseppina's is the superior choice for lunch, dinner, or a neighborhood date night.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The super dim location made it easy to see the cool fire column in the back oven. Fresh, delicious pizza - one $29 pie had 8 slices and can easily feed 3-4 people. They are cash only without a working ATM, but they did end up accepting Venmo. Service was sufficient.
May 28 · Kate🍕 AMAZING FRESH FLAT STYLE PIZZA 🍕 Giuseppina’s is a non discreet corner pizza restaurant with really fresh pizza and ingredients. The price is higher than other places as it feels like a nicer, gourmet style experience. Super cozy inside good for a group of 2-4. We had the mushroom with crumbled sweet sausage and it was excellent. The pies are more flat style so best to keep toppings minimum. The interior is centered around their wood burning oven where they use fresh cut firewood. 🪵 Great place for a neighborhood date. Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
January 18 · LIEMAfter seeing this place from TikTok, we decided to check it out. We went on a Friday and waited around 20-30 mins to get seated. We ordered the pizza with fresh basil and it was by far the best pizza I have ever had! It came out super hot and fresh. The basil on top gave it a super fresh taste and me and my fiance ate almost all of it. The crust was perfect and the pizza was thin but still had that perfect bite to it. Highly recommend this spot and we will definitely be coming here again!
February 25 · Wisely ChangGotta go in person to try because delivery was not good quality for the price we paid. I’ve gotten pizza deliveries from farther away, cheaper, and better. The white pie was good, the regular margherita not so much. Will give them another chance in person and will update review!
February 23 · Bianca RitortoGreat atmosphere the smells the sounds definitely see how it compares to Lucali. Candlelit a lot of charm would be great for a date , pizza itself was a great pie not as good as Lucali no basil on the standard pie that’s extra cost that’s kind of lame , maybe different cheese . But it is what it is definitely can’t go wrong . Calzone was really good too can’t go wrong . Solid cracker thin crust. Place got busy on a Sunday after opening , a lot of families with unruly kids it gets real loud I don’t know if that’s the norm I love kids but this is getting crazy out there , handle your kids parents! Service wasn’t bad a little more attention could be nice , waiter young not much personality. Would go back but so many pies to try maybe if you are in the neighborhood wanting a fix or need your kids to run around a bit 🤣
