★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had a wonderful experience at Unoriginal Noodles! We ordered the mochi fried tofu, spicy pickles, sweet and spicy duck wings, chicken ramen, seafood ramen, and spicy Taiwanese beef noodle soup. All dishes were excellent (esp the mochi fried tofu and each of the ramen bowls! 🍜🔥). Malcolm, the chef/owner, couldn’t be nicer or more hospitable. The ambience of the restaurant was very pleasant and the restaurant is kid-friendly (which I appreciate with a 6 month-old baby!).Came here with family and friends and we will all be back again soon — make sure you don’t miss out!
April 26 · Christine SunThere is no feeling like accidentally stumbling into one of the best meals you’ve ever had. This was my experience at Unoriginal Noodles. My only issue with the place is its own modesty reflected in its name. It should be called like “The Best Noodles” or something. But often is the case that greatness is tamed by modesty. Maybe that’s for the best. Are the noodles innovative or cutting edge? No, they are simple and all the better for it. The broth is out of this world I would purchase that alone and drink it. The noodles are perfect springy and chewy without being over cooked. I got the taiwanese spicy beef, the beef would disintegrate in your mouth. The veggies were perfectly crunchy as well. The owner was super nice and talked with us about old Jackie Chan movies he seems like a good dude that just loves to make a high quality product. I don’t know what more you can say this neighborhood is so lucky and I honestly don’t even know if they know what they have here. I will be thinking about this place till the next time I’m able to come back. Well done!
June 10 · Christian StueveThe food was alright — you can tell they use good, fresh ingredients, but there’s something missing. The noodles were cooked well, though the broth could use more flavor and thickness to really make the dishes shine. The place itself is very clean and well-kept.My drink, however, was pretty bad — flat, almost like gin mixed with sake but without any flavor. Definitely not something I’d order again. And then there was the most unexpected part: someone inside had a macaw. The bird was colorful, sure, but it was also pooping in the restaurant, which was… strange, to say the least.Overall, decent food with potential, but the drinks need work — and the parrots probably belong outside.
August 09 · Maria BolivarFantastic food that is both authentic and innovative! All the ramen dishes my group tried were terrific, and the appetizers are great too, particularly the duck wings and the mochi fried tofu.Ambiance and service are great as well, just a really nice place to hang out!
April 26 · Michael HurwitzUnoriginal noodles is a humble name for an absolutely brag worthy bowl of noodles. I had the tonkatsu and the pork was some of the best I’ve had in a bowl of soup. The noodles were perfectly chewy and the broth was rich yet delicate. A great bowl! But don’t sleep on the apps. The duck wings were a knockout and the fried tofu was an incredible surprise. It almost chewed like a light mozzarella stick. I can’t wait to go back for the signature beef noodle bowl. Def a top noodle spot for my book.
