What is Worth Choosing
When visiting Good Family Bakery, you are looking for authentic, delicious Chinese baked goods and light Dim Sum. To ensure the best experience, focusing on their specialties and most frequently consumed items is the key.
The Must-Try Sweet Treat: The absolute priority should be the highly-recommended Coconut Pudding. This dessert is a customer favorite and a staple of Chinese bakeries, known for its smooth texture and subtle, tropical sweetness. While customer reviews suggest the Egg Tarts are good but not extraordinary, the pudding is the signature sweet worth the trip.
For a Savory & Affordable Meal: Good Family Bakery is unbeatable for value in its savory selections. The Steamed Buns, particularly the Combination Bun or the Pork Bun, are excellent choices for a warm, filling breakfast that costs just a dollar or two. Alternatively, grabbing a plate of their steamed Dim Sum—such as the Spare Ribs with Black Bean or Beef Balls—offers an authentic, savory breakfast experience for a truly minimal price.
For a Quick Snack: The various types of Rice Rolls (Cheung Fun) provide a perfect light snack. The Rice Rolls with Shrimp are a classic choice, offering delicate rice noodles wrapped around plump shrimp, all for just $3.00. Pair any of these options with a hot cup of coffee to complete the traditional Chinese bakery breakfast experience.
It is important to note the customer feedback regarding the cakes and freshness of some items. Based on this, it is highly recommended to focus on their fast-moving, smaller items like the buns, Dim Sum, and the signature Coconut Pudding to ensure you are receiving the freshest and highest-quality products this beloved neighborhood spot has to offer.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Good bakery with lots of variety in buns! They also had coconut pudding which was my favorite! The egg tarts are pretty good but not the best I’ve ever had. Some of their cakes looked like it’s been sitting for a while… so don’t get the cakes from here.
August 01 · KimikoI use to like the pineapple buns here but recently it doesn’t taste as good. Probably not the same baker. Today I gave it a 1 star because I got an old bread probably over night unsold bread. The dried meat on top and bun is a sponge cake. It molded. Green mold on the sponge cake. I didn’t realize it because I was only looking at the top covered with the dried meat. When I took it, it felt wrong like the bun has strunk. I think because the cream to stick the dried meat has soaked into the sponge cake for too long and wet the cake. It is not puffy like it should be. I didn’t think much and took it anyway. When I got home, then I realize it must be overnight cake that has green mold on it.
October 27 · ELLEN SHAWFive stars for solid dim sum at great prices! We always come here to pick up dim sum for the family. Fresh ingredients and good portions. My faves are the beef rice rolls, fried shrimp balls and crystal shrimp dumplings! Just point and order, you can’t go wrong!
January 04 · OliviaBesides the baked stuff (which I find mediocre), the dim sum here isn't half bad. Their shrimp eggplants are tasty. The round shrimp chive dumplings are one of my favorites. I did find the radish cakes to be hit-or-miss, some days amazing while others badly burnt and flavorless, which is a real bummer since they are another one of my favorite dim sum dishes. Aside from that, their fried noodles do make for a decent filling. Not the best I've had but satisfying nonetheless. Final verdict: An above average chinese bakery.
November 14 · June AshleyThe stuff here is just alright. It's never the best taste and quality. I gave one star because of bacteria in food 2 days ago. Got a dish of radish cake. After finishing the first piece, my stomach hurt badly, and i couldn’t eat anything anymore. I thought it was from other foods. I finished the rest of the pieces the next day without mixed of other food, and my stomach hurt badly again. I realized what's the problem was. They were lucky i didn't want to go through the trouble pricess to report them, which i feel like i should, but I'll never go there again.
