★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Can someone tell me what bun they sell with the Chinese sausage and the egg and pork is called? It’s TOO GOOD!!!
July 15 · Jim KayCome here for the bubble tea. It's WAY cheaper than established milk tea places (~2.50), and the taste is not too different. Definitely a good alternative if you don't want to spend 4.50 in milk tea. As for the food, it actually has pretty delicious snacks. Most of them are a $1, but taste great! Check out the hot dog bun and ham and egg bun for sure.
November 27 · KyoLarge, buttery soft buns for only about a dollar each. Highly recommend the coconut cocktail bun and the walnut bun. They also have an extensive selection of dimsum ready cooked. The beef cherng fun is large and full of filling. In the front of the store they have a bunch of frozen ready made dimsum and dumplings.only downside is that they currently don't offer egg tarts.
January 14 · NisaGood dim sum is hard to come by during this pandemic. I stumbled upon this place walking on Ave U today and discover the best Chinese bakery ever! The beef noodle rolls (Hor Fun) was smooth and silky. The hot dog was cooked perfectly wrapped with a fluffy, soft buttery bun. The coconut filled bun (gai mei bao) was so fluffy with the right cream-sweet coconut filling. Beef balls were well flavored with bits of tofu skin complementing the starch-soften beef (add Lea & Perrin sauce), giving the right savory taste and texture. There is also a variety of frozen dumplings and frozen dim sums such as shrimp dumplings (Har Gow), Pork (Sui Mai), chicken feet, and other goodies to bring home. Only downfall is not tripe (my favorite). There are also hot dishes (e.g, beef chow fun) for half the price than regular restaurants. From what I tasted today, I hope they expand and consider getting into Shang-Hai buns (soup dumplings), roasting ducks, soy-sauce chicken, wine chicken, roast pork, roast pig, cuttle-fish, etc.
January 01 · Man WanMy mom told me about this bakery and their frozen take-home dim sum. She made some for me and it was actually pretty good. The quality is close to restaurant dim sum but the pieces are bigger, and the prices are cheaper. I tried the shumai, ha gow (only okay - I think this was a bit bland), meatball, and chicken feet. My favorite was probably the meatball and the chicken feet. The next time I was in Brooklyn, she brought me here so I could pick u a few packs and bring home to Jersey. I was so happy because good dim sum is hard to find in my area. You have to either driver 45 minutes, or it's expensive and not that good. Now I can have good dim sum in the comfort of my own home. The best part of the frozen dim sum is probably the price point. They're only about $6 each! The shumai comes with 10 pieces, meatball is 6 pieces, and chicken feet has about two dim sum portions. We also bought some sticky rice, which was 6 for $8.Can't wait to have me some dim sum!
