Gulp Reviews
I came here for dinner with one of my friends and we both loved it. The interior of this space is pretty small (only 5 seats), so you likely have to get there early to put your name down on their waitlist (that's what I did). Fortunately, the wait for me was only about 20 minutes. However, behind their restaurant, they have a speakeasy that you can grab some drinks at while you wait! The menu here is very simple, with only a few set items. If you are looking for more of their appetizers/dishes or even their new breakfast menu(!), it is only available for to-go (although their breakfast menu is a bit different). My friend and I ordered their beef noodle soup combo and we both loved it. The set came with pickled cabbages, popcorn chicken, tea eggs, and iced tea. It was so filling, huge portion, and very comforting. Loved it and I would love to come back to try their other dishes or try their expanded to-go menu!
September 11 · Mia HuynhI was staying at the ALOFT near by and wandering around to find this place just opening up near a cute cafe. Lovely Taiwanese joint with fun friendly group of people running the place, with all the same dedication and friendliness that the Taiwanese are famous for. Smiles all around and excellent food. Why not eat here all the time? Made me feel like I was at my second home, Taiwan.
September 15 · Joe WitherspoonDined in today and love the open kitchen concept. The staff were really friendly and attentive. I ordered the Braised pork rice combo and the chicken and braised pork rice combo. Love the overall plating with the different side dishes and the portions. The made in house Tea that comes with it is my absolute favorite. Such delicate flavors and a hint of sweetness.
September 01 · Michelle ChengTo be honest, I've been looking for a American style Taiwanese breakfast for a long time, so I was really excited to see that this place offers it. I visited in the early morning and ordered a variety of items: a sandwich, an egg pancake (dan bing), hash browns, a rice ball (fan tuan), and soy milk. The food was decent but not really amazing. The staff tried hard to provide good service, but they seemed to lack experience. The store itself has a lot of thoughtful touches. I'd visiting again.
September 01 · Aaron P. ChenAs an epicurian, I found peace when I found you. Call it maybe nostalgic, I would have never thought Taiwanese food could ever have anything similar with Venezuela but when I dine in with you I feel back at home, eating some fried chicken. I love having the beef soup, they offer extra noodles as well. Their food is healthy and thoughtful, I always leave with a full stomach, they are always working on innovation adding more things for our appetite, I still haven't made it for breakfast yet but I have heard you guys will be in the city soon too. I wish you the best and look forward to trying more Taiwanese food. You won't regret coming in. They have amazing taste for the music too. Thanks again!
